Knife in the Darkness & Dagger in the Back: Make both a multi-selector for DEX and INT.

Add a tier 5 enhancement (I have two variants, though really just two names for it.):

Saving logic. Your high intellect has increased your ability to focus your mind and fend off mental attacks.
2 AP
Use your INT stat for will save.

Or:

Mage slayer. Your training in the assassination of mages has focused your mind and prepared you to better fend off the mental attacks from your targets.
2 AP, requires Assassination.
Use your INT stat for will save.

I have a bit of a different suggestion:

I don't have a name for it, so i just will name it what it does. It has two variants as well.

Gut stab:

On sneak attack: Target is nauseated for 0.5 second per rogue level. if they fail a fort save (DC is 15 + rogue level + int modifier) (Nauseated). This ability is boosted by effects that boost assassinate. this ability is on a seperate cooldown from assassinate. Even if they save, they recieve 5d6 extra sneak attack damage.

Gut stab: (passive)

On assassinate effect: Target is nauseated for 1 second per three rogue levels. This ability happens regardless of if the save is made or not.

yea, I've been over there too. Sadly, while this is needed, assassinate will remain broken until stealth and agro get fixed properly.
