What would be fun is a paladin tree based on sonic, chanting...

Let them use a semi-bard mechanic (and let those "add bard song" past lives stack the number here).

Except the chants (songs) do heal over time or damage over time and/or are based on alignment damage.

So, a DoT chant, sonic SLA's, the ability to add sonic damage to equipped weapons.

For a nice twist, as a tier 5 or core, let them select a weapon related to their faith's base weapon for other faith-based weapon effects...

(Like Greatsword -> Greatsword, Bastard Sword, or Longswor. Scimitar -> Scimitar, sickle, or khopesh).

Say, a tier 5 enhancement that produces "resonance" with other chanting paladins too to add or multiply the effect of "chants" (songs)...
