Old Player roll call

I haven't played in a year and was wondering if some of my old chums were still playing on Cannith. Sherlocke, Kenshearro, Chuv, Zorian. I spent a few hours and re-downloaded the game but cannot get past the load up screen after choosing character. Before I invest hours trying to figure out how to get online wanted to see if my buddies were still playing. Not worth it without them.
