My main is on Cannith. My loader show's the server is Up. I have a sub. I cannot log in. This is a problem.

Also, a queuing system would be much better than an auto-kick.

finally got in earlier did deathwyrm, went to help guildy in sands crashed when zoneing in and now server full again

I think I've pinpointed the cause for the server full error. It's likely due to players that aren't fully logged off by the server. These are players that show up as online on the who list but you cannot whisper or invite them to your party. The server probably becomes full when there are too many of these bad logoffs taking up server slots.

When Cannith was the default server, the server became full at a faster rate. We haven't had the problem in a while because it was taking longer to accumulate the badly logged off characters that weren't actually logged off.

These badly logged off characters stay up on the who list for days and days. Sometimes they seem to be stuck inside a quest instance. Other times, they are in a town zone but you won't be able to find them anywhere.

Decided to haunt Khyber since I couldn't log in. It was laggy but at least login works. The people were OK. Not enough drama.

It's likely due to players that aren't fully logged off by the server.

Probably also causing the ownerless LFMs.

If the servers can only handle 500 players logged on at one time it's a pretty sad state of affairs at Turbine.

Yes...Because you counted every single person on the Who List in the second or two you had before people logged off and others logged on!

Not to mention all the people who are anon and so aren't even on the who list in the first place!

And Lastly - The Population of each server today is way down on what they used to be

3 Years ago Khyber had around 180,000 log ins per week!
2 Years ago Khyber had around 120,000 log ins per week
1 Year ago it was around 100,000 per week
Today? - 70,000

3 Years ago Cannith had around 160,000 log ins per week!
2 Years ago = 100,000
1 Year ago = 80,000
Today? - 100,000 {was 130,000 a month ago!}

No, but I said "around," and was able to estimate by counting the number on a single page, and then page down to get the total number of pages, and then use a little multiplication.

What "Pages"?

It's a SINGLE Page that simply scrolls down and no you can't tab down!

Also: People are constantly logging off and on AND some people show up twice on the who tab anyway!


There may well have been 500 people on Cannith at one time yesterday too - According to the DDOracle Traffic Report on the 19th {5 days ago} at 7pm there were 750 Log Ins!

And this is considering DDO has lost a good half it's population in the past 2 years! Cannith HAS bucked the trend BUT was always a lower pop. server before it became the Default anyway and even after becoming the Default hasn't got anywhere near the 160,000 log ins per week it had 3 years ago!

So - No 500 is NOT FULL!

It's not even close!!!
