    Default My opinion on the loot I found interesting.

    Epic Mentau's Goggles- I see this easily becoming a favorite for almost all melee fighters(Any class that does melee fighting), heck even some caster classes may want it for the strength bonuses and the UMD boost if they don't have anything more useful for that slot. So plenty good as is, if you do decide to weaken it as I saw a post that said something about that, be very careful at what you take away.

    Epic cloak of Ice-Like the effects, however even with the 2 augment slots it needs a buff. Freezing ice on attacks is really cool and I like it, fire shield is useful, but I just don't see myself using this for anything other than situational(Fire peak raid-well even then probably just use orcish privateer's boots). Would love to see it have some more effects, not sure what you would want to put in there. Blinding glare as a blur or displacement type effect due to the ice maybe? Or Light resistance as it reflects it? Heck add those two and it would be my new cloak. Just some thoughts, hope they help.

    Epic Belt of Thoughtful Rememberance- I like it, one change that needs to be done. Deathblock VI should be Deathblock VIII. The reason is the negative energy absorption on the heroic one is better. Also Negative energy absorption is a rarer property and something people look for when slotting items as opposed to properties that you can find in almost any other slot.

    Epic Purging the Pantheon-I like it, but might need a little boost. One change that needs to be done, Protection +10 needs to be Protection +11. This is a raid item, while the Epic Belt of Thoughtful Rememberance is not, yet the non skill boosts on that belt are +11. Other than that I will be honest and say I am not sure what exactly it needs, but it does need a little boost. If something occurs to me I will post again. So good item otherwise.

    Epic Quiver of Alacrity-I want to like it so much, but I can't. The heroic one was a pain to get, but great for TRing and that was it's original purpose besides being a good piece of gear. This would be a good item, but the -50 concentration kills it. Everyone needs what little they have for UMDing items in battle. Many classes don't have it as a class skill, and UMD takes a lot of skill points as is. Why have stealth strike benefit casters when they will never use this? What class is supposed to use this? I am being serious, not trying to be harsh, as it is a good item otherwise. Please get rid of the -50 concentration, as casters won't use it, ranged characters who use umd, or cast spells, or yes even meditate won't use it. Well I am wrong, only ones who will use it will be ranged spell casters with quicken. That is a sad death for an item all loved on there TR characters. I understand the curse is supposed to lower the min level to 20 for epic TR's, but isn't it possible to use DEV magic to make it 20 without limiting it to one useful class? So once again without the -50 concentration I would use it for my characters. It really is good otherwise.

    Epic Litany of the Dead-Just awesome, simply nothing much else to say. Heck even comes with a reason to avoid paladin splashes, besides they are getting a very nice damage boost with this pass anyway, making me think about taking pali as my next TR.

    Epic Sanctified Gages- I like them, will probably use them, even if not playing a pali and not getting the smite bonus. The only concern is what a previous poster stated about dispelling guard having issues that needs looked into.

    Knives Eternal-Liked it, the shot pattern is definitely more usable than other homing rune arms with the spread being narrower. Not sure about the save value for enemies as I confess my character isn't quite uber enough for EE, just EH. So like what I see and will let other more knowledgable posters do damage/saves comparison.

    Epic Chord of Reprisals-Really like it, Sheltering 16 should be higher for level after all at level 28 that is an augment and this is only level 27, other than that I see no need for changes.

    Epic Fanged Gloves-Really good, but why Wisdom +11? Not saying a wisdom based caster might not like it, just saying why that one and not charisma or int? Maybe remove that and add something else or just add the other 2 stats. Whichever sounds better to you guys.

    Epic Locus of Vol-Love Manslayer showing up again, maybe a more powerful version for epic? Blood Rage has serious downsides which have already been mentioned. Fearsome is very good. On the whole though this item just doesn't feel like it comes together that well. Would be great if it also had Cannith Crafting uses as that is mainly what I like about the heroic one. Maybe another has more useful insights about this item.

    Epic Boots of the Innocent-They seem good, no issues. Love greater heroism showing up on items as yes you can cast it or scroll it, but it is nice to have something always on that can't be dispelled(well not by beholders in general anyway although there are some rare times I remember items being disjuncted in raids or quests.)

    Shroud of the Ardent-I like this, happy that it is not another ghostly item, but has blur(smoke screen) as nice to not have to cast and it seems like everything has switched to ghostly. Ghostly is more useful, but I like to have both. Immunity to Fear always nice to save a slot, healing amp in a new spot is definitely the best thing here! Sheltering seems like it could be better with a raid item that is just barely above what an augment would be at that level.

    I'm not on lamma, so I've only seen what's in this thread (and copy pasted Nivarch's excellent post for item descriptions).

    I will preface with power creep, while inevitable, like inflation IRL, needs to be controlled.

    I have no comments on the armors since I haven't seen descriptions. Likewise quiver since I don't understand what it does. It does seem a shame that the heroic quiver is one of the most useful items in the game while the epic version is controversial.

    Overall the new items seem very powerful, and a bit "messy". By which I mean that a lot of them seem to be grab bags of high powered enhancements. It's as though someone decided that as the game is going to top out at around this level there was no need to hold back. Hard to see how comparable loot can keep being released over the next few updates without much of it being redundant.

    Multiple Vitality items, but no False Life items. Traditionally False life has been common and Vitality has been rare, making slotting vitality more of a challenge. Changing the vitality into False Life, except of the Epic/Mythic Minos Legens would be my preference.

    Bit disappointed by the lack of weapons. Its not like they would have invalidated Thunderforged (the problem there is the rampant duping of materials). They would have filled different niches from what can be accomplished the relatively limited range of options for building Thunderforged and added some variety back into end game weaponry.

    A bit overboard with augment slots. We're really reaching a point at which most characters will have more slots than things they want to put in them.

    Also I hope the item names that are just "Epic" + "Old Name" are just placeholders. It's immersion breaking, and even weirder given that some are getting their own names.

    Nice Paladin Gloves. Not sure how the UMD fits in thematically. Maybe having them add Good Alignment to equipped weapons would fit the concept better. I'd also like to see the icon changed to something more like gauntlet, instead of the evil themed glove graphic it uses now which doesn't fit the "sanctified" theme.

    Very strong. Seems a bit odd that we're getting another set of DEX +11 bracers so soon (though ideally it would make more sense to change Dumothoin's to STR or CON than to change these). I'd suggest changing Deadly X in Accuracy X. I think that would fit the theme better, cover something that none of the other new items cover, and be a slight nerf to a somewhat OP item.

    You've added random amount of Sheltering to several items. And it's really a mess. Perhaps you should take this opportunity and rebalance all existing sheltering items. (Here's a list: http://ddowiki.com/page/Category:Sheltering_items)

    I mean, there's +3 on ML17 tower shield (Bastion heroic hard), and then there's +24 on a ML19 ring (Guardian's). I get it that Guardian's Ring is a perk for buying expansion, so it's OK that it's a bit higher.

    If you want Thunderforged weapons to be strongest weapons in the game, i can understand it, but Epic Abbot MUST HAVE epic weapons !!! These weapons can be as powerfull as thunder forged or a bit less, i dont care but i REALLY WANT TO HAVE AN EPIC Unwavering Ardency !!!!!!!!! GIVE ME MY EPIC Unwavering Ardency or the epic abbot will be useless in my point of view.

    I think so peoples could really enjoy an Epic Staff of the Petitioner and an Epic Breeze too ... and maybe some more NEW weapons beacause a raid without weapons is a SHAME !!!!!!

    We finally get a new runearm and it looks exactly like all the other runearms. Do you guys not have artists working for you? Still waiting for decent looking runearm, and mirror of glamoring won't help since they all look the same anyway.

    When you add new end-game loot to a game it's generally not a good idea to re-use old artwork.

    I am seeing some great ideas like mythic minos being pumped to +50 vitality and some amazing ideas like a taint of evil supressant on boots of the innocent exactly like the madness supressant.

    The general consesus is though the items don't make the slightest bit of sense devs. It's like you chose abilities at random*. Strong abilities for sure but random. I do fear it's too late in development cycle to do anything about anything though so blerg What are the chances of having a later pass at this, kind of like what happened to the heroic raid that all loot was nerfed to oblivi...er, I mean 'updated' two-three times?

    +1 re: quelling guard on goggles...it's one of the things that make the item absolutely unique, which is a really good move for any item.

    Make sure dispelling doesn't work through it.

    I'm not going to do a full write-up at this juncture, as it's pretty much been said before. You'll should see where I'm coming from if I just briefly catagorize the equipment.

    The equipment in this update is just swarming with enhancements and I generally found it impossible not to have some effects be overpowered by others, or redundant.

    The 'amazing' items still often have drawbacks, but generally I was pretty happy with wearing them. The 'good' items I thought were solid, but could use a little tweeking. 'Decent' items I thought needed a little more substantial buff and the rest are pretty obvious.

    In general I liked the armors when went in on the first go-around. bbqzor gave a nice write up on their shortcomings on page 5, but generally I thought that were at least serviceable.

    However, in this last incarnation Sev kept his word and removed the mithral property from the armors. That's fine, I'm in favor of removing mithral from the game entirely if Turbine has no intention of supporting it. However, by simply pulling the mithral property from the Scales of Surety and the Chain of Conviction Sev not only doomed them to that worst of both possible worlds which is medium armor, he left it impossible for a character that wears light armor ro get the adamancy bonus. I think that that is a problem/mistake. At least one of those armors should be converted back to light armor somehow.

    Are we going to see an upgrade to some of these items in future lamannia patches?


    Especially some of the +10 resist etc. I am ok with resist that only affects 1 type, but it should be some sort of exceptional bonus to stack with normal resist items.

    Why isn't there an Epic Shroud of the Abbot, the Epic Shroud of the Ardent? The Abbot robe is a legendary piece of gear that deserves to be epicified. Please, please, please make it happen!!!

    It still won't be OP or even great but occasionally useful, so good, right?

    Weird change, dont like it personally and quiver became less interesting now.
    You wont get 22% ranged speed with it anyways, it offers only 4 sneak /masque more, a 50 concentration debuff which hurts 10 k and umd.
    And i seriously dont know about any current meta build that doesnt want threat..
    Really bad item.
    Il assume the ranged speed doesnt even give you striding anymore? If no then its worse then heroic quiver, heck is worse then large wide quiver due to debuff.
    When i was dreaming about quiver i was thinking about a item with unique on hit effects, not this garbage they gave us.
    Also boots of innocent still seem to op to me and fanged gloves to good for shiradi robots and palemasters, would be nice to add 11 charisma and 30% amp for sorcs

    Well, is there any item in this update like really good for sorcs?
    To lazy to look up and rad on all of them atm and still away from ddo

    Well with changes on lamnia to loots see next to nothing we said you guys listened to the epic Seraphim still worst helm ever seen half stuff does not stack and useless I can get better then this helm on level 10. The good items like mentau's goggles and belt of thoughtful rememberance was nerfed will now never use either for my toons. Must say this is by far the worst loots ever other then raid will never run any of this content more then 1 time cause loot is garbage. I can get better loots out of HH at same level or Wheloon/stormhorns at lower level. What a waste of your time to even make any items outside of the raid since all garbage. Thought we where suppose to be getting 27 level loots to help us when 30 came out but only thing see on lamnia that will help us is the raid loots.
