Mabar?

I for one like Mabar...I am hopeful every year that they made some change to deal with lag in the raid. I am once again hopeful, and look forward to Mabar again.

Lag is bad enough already without the increase caused by these events.

If they have 100% fixed all the problems related to Mabar - bring it back. If it's anything less then 100% fixed, please leave it on the back burner.

Mabar is the most troubled Event in DDO's troubled line-up of Live Events, and has an abysmal reputation because of it. If cannot be fixed in total, then it does not deserve another cringe inducing encore.

I'd like Mabar back this year - I need to upgrade my lvl 12 Cloak of Night to the lvl 20! (And get the Cloak for a character or two.)

Well it seems Mabar is done . They are creating a new event to come out after U24. Totally lame, I look forward to Mabar every year. I understand the issues people have with the lag that came with the event. But I am still bummed. Hopefully the new event will be as much fun, it seems it will have the same loot.

Is very saddened,, I know it was a pain with the server lag,,, but I truely loved Mabar,, I for one will miss it.

Mabar is dead, they could not resolve the issues with it and are replacing it with something else next year.

Looks like instead of Mabar this year we will have another Cove event.

We will be replacing the Mabar Festival of Endless Night with a new event, currently scheduled to debut sometime after the release of Update 24 (not this next update; the one after it.) The new event is likely to make its debut after the new year. We're not yet ready to provide details about the event, other than the hint provided in the Producer's Letter from July, but we can say that the event's items will be the items from Mabar. At this time we have not been able to recover the Mabar festival in a way that addresses the issues with it and allow for its return.

Regarding Crystal Cove, we're planning to run the event this year with the new tier of loot around the time that Mabar would normally arrive. The plan for the future is to have the new event run around the time that we used to run Mabar.

So it looks as if Mabar really is a thing of the past. Add to this the dev quote given above and it looks like it is done for.

I will miss Mabar. It was the first festival I participated in, and had a heck of a lot of fun. But between the lag issues and some players scamming the game, I can understand that Mabar is broken, and it looks like Turbine is giving up trying to fix it. It saddens me, but I can understand. Hopefully, they will add another festival that is just as much fun.
