Default Celestia and Druid Animal Forms

OK, since I'm too lazy to scour the forums, I'll just ask it outright. If I have a Celestia in my mainhand and I switch to Wolf Form, do my attacks bypass DR? I just want to say that I have not played a Druid before and have not bought the class yet (although I will very soon), this question will mostly just impact my choice of weaponry.

I haven't specifically tested with celestia but I know when wearing handwraps, whatever they have on them shows up under details giving you that DR bypassing so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

The problem is pretty much anything which alters or increases Celestia's dmg also changes its dmg type from Light to Magic. So my hunch is the same thing happens with animal forms; but I don't have a druid with Celestia I can use to test this.

This. IIRC Wolf and bear modify the weapon type, so it would stop being light first.

    Wink

Thanks again. I didn't think that they would bypass DR, but now i know. This was for the druid/barb split I have over on the multiclass section, where I assumed it wouldn't bypass DR, so thanks for the clarification.

I got a similar question, would the unarmed damage die increase from, say, Arkats Cord carry through to wolf form? DDOwiki has nothing on this topic.

My 9mnk/9drd/2ftr using handwraps does. With antipode wraps it's 5.8[W] and lvl26 tforged wraps its 7.8[W] when I look at the info below the inventory tab. What works for unarmed monks works in animal form.

Nice! Did not know that. Any wraps besides Ivy wraps that have vampirism?

None except stonedust if you add it to them.
