    Default TF pet collars

I posted this in crafting and it's pushin 100 views with not one reply, so I'm going to try here and see if someone knows.

If I make tier 2 handwraps and craft them into a pet collar, will I be able to put the pet collar in the forge to upgrade it to tier 3 later on down the road? Or will I have to start over with a new pair of handwraps?

I'm just curious because I have the mats for the tier 2 handwraps now, but the way I raid (infrequently at best, and deathwyrm is one of my least favorites) it may be a long time before I ever get them to tier 3. Otherwise I would just wait and do them tier 3 all at once and then make the collar.

    TIA.

Thinking about the crafting system, I believe you have to make the item completely, then make it into a collar. Unless you can unmake something a collar...

I don't think you can unmake TF stuff yet. I also agree that you probably wont be able to craft on a collar in the forge. There just aren't recipes for them (collars) in there.

Never post in any other section unless it's an official thread, a build or achievement you want people to bash.

Thanks for the info, that's what I was afraid of. Oh well, maybe someday the pet will get a TF collar. Might be a couple years at the rate I raid.

I kinda like the new raids. Might I ask which parts or either are no fun for you? Mearly curious, not meaning to poke ya. Just want to hear opposing views.

I like the new raids, but that won't make acquiring all the ingredients quicker.

LFM are shrinking in number and quality as more people already got their stuff, one way or another. Drop rate is miserable (11 souls out of 24 runs from Deathwyrm, and I haven't even checked the amount of scales and ingots I'll need).

I do agree the drop rates are brutal. I have no valid counter point to that. I felt that exact same way, the rage TR'd and now back to grinding for those same soul gems

Kind of sad to type that now that I think about it

Although mortal fear on a pet certainly will make for some fun stuff, that really sounds like a waste of TF materials

If you want something until you get a tier3 collar, don't forget to take a look at the cormyrian collars, both for level 16 and 24 (don't bother with 20 at all). They are beyond awesome

An excellent question, and yes you can craft tier 1 or 2 then craft later tiers by placing the collar into the forge. This will work.

Or will I have to start over with a new pair of handwraps?
The forge does accept collars and upgrades them.

Note the word I highlighted in your post. That's all I really care about.
