Guardians of House Cannith is now at level 153. It sounds like a big jump, but it was due to saga rewards taken when we were just below 150 and levels in the low 150s are very easy compared to 100-150.

Yeah - 1,000,000 renown per level from 80-150 then suddenly only 100k to go from 150-151, 200k from 151-152 etc.
