Default I need a helping hand

So, I'm playing in a campaign where my character is a Warforged Sorcerer, and having a fair amount of fun, The DM made a house rule that I was allowed to encribe explosive runes on my hands and set them off without hurting myself, at the cost of a hand.

So of course I did exactly that. It was great. I set off a third explosive rune that round in an effort to deal as much damage as possible, and while it nearly killed my surprisingly buff sorcerer, it did cost me both my hands. Inicidentaly my character also picked up a cursed rock in that dungeon and has half movement speed.

So now I am slowed and handless. The DM says I might be able to get new hands made in this one town, but despite having done over 60 damage in a single round and saving another player's life in the process, the party still will only agree to go to said town "whenever it's convenient for everyone else."

Anyway, as a stop-gap, I've been using a pair of iron gauntlets and the spell "Magic Hand" to animate them and make them work like sorta real hands. I'm wondering if anyone else has any ideas. Not having hands sucks.

You might be able to convince your DM to allow you to use Bigby's Superior Force Sculpture (6th level spell) or Most Excellent Force Sculpture (8th level spell) to conjure a new hand (or two, maybe) since either can create rather complex moving parts and unusual shapes that can be manipulated. Just a thought.

That might work. My character is only level 7 right now but that'd be something to look at in the future.

Play you character annoyingly, since you have no hands you have an excuse to be useless. Do funny and awkward things such as hide behind other players during a fight(if they give you a hard time look at them and say "Look i have no hands.", tell them you need a wiper when you go number 2 when in a tavern seek pity from npcs etc....eventually they will find it convenient to go the the town.

An Unseen Servant can do trivial day-to-day things for you.

You could take the Still Spell Metamagic Feat for spellcasting.

I already hide behind other players, I'm the sorcerer, its there job to take hits for me :P which is funny because I actually have more hit points than our tank at the moment(can I help it if I have 15 Constiturtion and keep rolling 4s when I level?)

I had also thought about taking up begging in the various towns... but I've been paying bards to walk around singing about how great I am, so I feel like that might not work very well.... (for example: my character has a -1 rank in Disable Device, but I successfully bluffed the party into thinking I was an expert trapper... and then started paying bards to walk around singing about it).

Hey, i am liking Unseen Servent. In PnP, whats involved in a sorcerer trading out their spells?

    Orcish Hand-puppets:

    1. After decapitation, tie one to each stub
    2. Name them
    3. Ventriloquism spell with one
    4. Magic Mouth with the other (make sure the triggering event happens often)
