Default A rusty Drow Wizard trying to find a magic-based guild

I've taken over a week's break from DDO out of either boredom or being too interested in messing with Warcraft III's World Editor, recreating D&D spells through triggers with arithmetic to replicate saving throws. I'm a level 14 Drow Wizard, currently doing Evocation, preferring and planning to switch to Enchantment, with absolutely no social attachments 'cause the people I thought I was going to play along with never really got into DDO, and the guild I attempted to work on, "House Teken'ett" (meaning 'delvers in magic') never went anywhere 'cause I guess I suck at advertising or something.

...I'll admit I'm probably better as an advisor or some sorta council member. Heh...

I've got a horrible attachment to magic, and I prefer to surround myself with it. My only real problem is that I hate when I can't help someone in a bad situation, which makes me contemplate being a Cleric at times, or maybe a 50/50 Wizard/Cleric... though I really feel like I want to be a pure Wizard. I'm hoping to find a guild that I guess focuses on the fun of a big ol' pile of spellcasters, if such a guild exists. Don't think about the squishiness of such an idea, naturally they'd prepare themselves for situations.

...I might have weird issues with corny guildnames, like one back in an RO server I played, calling themselves "The Waffle Mafia"...

Something about "Live and Make Die" feels weird to me too...

Don't think I can help you with your guild situation (GRR doesn't sound right for you)... however, if you have questions on how to be the best DC caster you can be.. feel free to reach out to me in game, or on the forums. I am happy to help.

Hey, did we play together last week? I definitely remember playing with a member from the House Teken'ett, but I'm not sure it was you. :-)

I'm an officer in Mages of Mordenkainen, and despite the name of the guild, we are not a 100% caster guild. It doesn't really make sense in DDO, where your character will most likely go through a True Reincarnation sooner or later and end up being another class.

I was in a Palemaster guild once, called Necromancer's Delight, a cool name indeed, but too few members. Half of them hadn't logged in for weeks or months and the other half was not around my level. You can imagine why I decided to grab my spell components and move on.

Mages of Mordenkainen was founded in January 2013 and was meant to be a very inclusive guild. Apparently, the founder and first guild leader, got his feelings hurt by some old meany veterans who didn't have much consideration for newbies, and that's why he started the guild. He also made his mission to recruit every lost puppy, no questions asked, so we end up becoming one of the biggest guilds on the server at some point. We've had a change in leadership for about a year ago and things have been a bit more peaceful since then. We do not actively recruit, but our doors are open.

Our members are mostly casual players, and most of them are rather quiet, but we also have a core of very good and active players... We do have our share of talented arcane casters.

You're welcome to join us if you feel like we can be a match for you.

And on a side note, 50/50 Wizard/Cleric doesn't sound very good. I've seen some decent Warpriests splashing wiz to access the Eldritch Knight tree, but maybe you should rather invest in UMD to be able to use Heal and Raise scrolls.
