Default Is it possible to change race without having to level up all over again?

I'm about to hit 20 on my wizard, and really wanting to change my race from warforged to bladeforged. Just because they look a bit more badass, and they seem to have better bonuses as well. So I heard that I could TR, which would allow me to change my race, however it would also reset me back to level 1. I'd rather not have to start all over again after just having reached level 20. So is there some other means to change my race, that doesn't require me to go back to square one?

Unfortunately Lesser Reincarnation does not change your race, but if you TR into a Bladeforged you'll start at level 15 =D
Note you'll take a Paladin level by default, I suggest going 18/2 Wiz/Pal or 16/2/2 Wiz/Pal/(Rog/Mnk). If you want to stay pure you'll have to buy a +1 Lesser Heart of Wood to remove the Paladin level.

If you wanted to play an Elf or a Dwarf for example (a non-Iconic race) then yeah, you'd have to TR and level it all over again.

Oh yeah I would start at level 15, that isn't so bad. I was told that if you use a +1 heart of wood you could remove the Paladin level.

No. But if you Heroic True Reincarnate into Bladeforged you can start at level 15 since they are an Iconic Race. However, should you want to later reincarnate your bladeforged character, you'll have to level to cap instead of 20 and acquire an iconic heart of wood for Iconic TR.

    edit:Ninja'd

You MUST die in order to be born a different race!

also, Bladeforged is an Iconic, so you'll start at level 15, but you are forced one level of paladin until you can buy a +1 heart to remove it.
