Default High Lords will host The Titan Awakes teaching raid on Sunday, July 20

Our last teaching raids, Fire on Thunder Peak and Temple of the Deathwyrm went really well! CLICK HERE to read about it!

Next in our teaching raid series will be a new addition to the lineup... The Titan Awakes on Sunday, July 20 at 9:30pm EST!

As with all events in this series, these raids are for players newer to the raiding scene or players that are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Dbags not welcome. Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids, and to enhance the Sarlona community.

If you are new to Titan, you will need to flag by completing 3 quests: Hiding in Plain Sight, in The Harbor, and Slavers of the Shrieking Mines and Bring Me the Head of Ghola Fan in The Restless Isles. You will need to have access to The Restless Isles adventure pack.

Tip: The Restless Isles can be a confusing map to find your way around in. If you can find someone that already has the quests, have them share the quests with you, which will allow you to use the wildman and ogre guides near the entrance to teleport much closer to the quests.

After completing the 3 flagging quests, speak to Ostler Caulstone at the entrance to The Restless Isles to repair your sigil of Dal Quor. Once your sigil is repaired, you will be able to enter the pre-raid The Twilight Forge.

We will be teaching both the raid (The Titan Awakes) and pre-raid (The Twilight Forge), so all you will need to do ahead of time is run the 3 flagging quests and repair your sigil.

Usually all spaces are spoken for by the time of the raid, so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Sunday's event, please contact me in game on Gingerspyce. I will be in game on a very limited basis until late Saturday night.

Thanks for all the support and special thanks to DDOCast and DDO Chronicle for mentioning our events. We hope to see you in raids soon!

    Love,
Gingerspyce and The High Lords of Malkier

PS. I now have a YouTube channel, which features solo EE quests on my druid build, and several instructional videos such as how to solo Hound of Xoriat, How to find your way through Prey on the Hunter, and How to solo Genesis Point with an explanation of all the levers and valves. I have been adding new videos weekly. You can check out my channel HERE!

Underwater Action items will help you out greatly during a part of the pre-raid, if you get assigned to the Red section.

It's also worth noting that this is a long pre-raid, where the group needs to split up, I'm not sure how efficient the training runs are, but I would be surprised if this particular raid gets done in under 90mins, so make sure you've got some free time.

Side note. It might pay to check the pillars voo, last I'd heard they're still bugged. (titan doesn't stay down long)

It was listed as fixed some updates ago, and I've been PUGging/dualboxing it once per life. The pillars are fine. The titan's aggro is still not as it was originally (he'll tend to stay on one person until they die instead of switching aggro randomly) and pillars seem to be taken out by laser splash damage (this has been going on a long time, but can be minimised by manoeuvring the titan to the outermost pillars), but the raid is much more reliably completable.
I Cannith-craft (150 levels in all schools) for free on Thelanis if you provide all needed materials.

Great run e1 thanks for coming and big thanks to my guildie Vannaa for leading, as this is not a raid that I'm competent enough with to lead. Pretty much all of us in the raid were still learning parts of the pre-raid and raid except Vannaa!

The Sunday night crew stands victorious!

My weekends are pretty much chewed up by work for the rest of the summer, so going to shut down our teaching raids until fall. Until then, please join us for our Tuesday Night Abbotfest events that we'll be hosting all summer long, to celebrate the arrival of epic necro 4 in update 23! CLICK HERE for details!

The Titan run last night was a blast! Thanks again, High Lords, for putting that together.
