Default Patcher doesn't want to patch...

This isn't a new problem for me.

Every time there is a patch, the launcher likes to stop around this point (70-90% on dndclient.exe). It will randomly go past this point and patch perfectly fine, but I need to keep killing the process tree and attempt to relaunch every time it gets stuck to get that random chance to occur. I still haven't been able to patch from this morning...

    Anyone got a fix?

    Playing on a Windows 7.

Now, while I don't believe Google.

Sorry, this file is infected with a virus

Only the owner is allowed to download infected files.
...I'm being blocked from downloading the file.

The bigger question would be, how could something used to speed launching help patch the product?

Have you disabled akami in the past? If so, maybe it needs to be on and unblocked in order to fetch the files. To the problem; I have seen this. I would have to close out of it, copy the files from the backup folder to the main folder, relaunch, and repatch. If that does not work, delete the .dat files and try patching again.

I have never messed with Akami.

Deleting all of the .dat files now, as I have already tried to do the backup idea.

Doing the deleting of the dat files and moving from the backup should essentially be the same troubleshooting end result.

next time it hangs like this, look for the .log files in three locations on your system and code block post them here.

https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post5379453 has info on where to find the logs (different machine)

The other log file is too large for this post, hold on, let me see if I can get put it in a different post.
EDIT: It's too big for another post OR pastebin. I can get you the .txt file if you want.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Turbine\Dungeons & Dragons Online" has nothing in it (Stream Download?)

Since you used steam, you should look in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dungeons and Dragons Online

When you say too large, that is why I asked to have you put it in a code block. Does the forums error out? If so, something is very wrong. Log files should not be in the meg size.

That is a bummer on the filesize. Do you think you could googledocs it and share me a link in pm?

Sent you the file in a PM.

Update: After 10 hours of working with the patcher, it finally decides to patch (after doing nothing to the files after countless resets). So yeah, finally patching past dndclient.exe.

Well, if that is the case, then I hope you get into the game. Considering what has happened, I would make a copy of that file and store it somewhere else and drop it in there the next time this bug crops up.
