    Angry "Invalid password" even after multiple resets

    I'm trying to change my contact E-mail address at myaccount.turbine.com. To do this, I'm required to put in my current password. So I did... and I got a message that the account name and password didn't match.

    Figured I'd just made a typo and tried again. And again. And again. Same thing. So I reset my password... same thing again, and again, and again.

    I've reset my password three times. I've double- and triple-checking that I'm typing it correctly, caps lock isn't on, etc. STILL can't get in.

    And of course, the ingame support doesn't even load any more. Not that they'd have done anything for me anyway.

    I *really* want to get this taken care of, because I'm probably going to be closing out my old E-mail account (the one that's currently my Turbine contact).

    So, any chance someone can actually resolve this for me in a timely manner?

    ETA: And of course, now from resetting the password, I can't log into the GAME either, with either the old OR new password.

    NOT a freaking happy camper right now.

    Editing again to add: After SEVERAL password changes, I finally was able to log in at myaccount.turbine.com, but still couldn't log into the game... so changed the password AGAIN, and now I THINK it's working. But still, this is ridiculous. Is there some kind of delay mechanism from the time you change your password until the new one takes effect?

    If I want to change my password, I should be able to change it and IMMEDIATELY log in with it. No idea what was going on here tonight, but I do recall having a similar problem (though not nearly this bad) once before.

    And I STILL can't change my E-mail address. No matter which password I put in, it comes up invalid. *headdesk*

    I was having password problems, and it turned out that they were too long for some of the UI fields. I think there may have been an invalid character issue, too, but I am not sure. Anyway, a shorter, simpler password got me into everything.

    The passwords I use range from 8-12 characters, so I don't think that was it... but who knows. I'd really like to be able to change the E-mail address in my account settings, but not if I'm going to have to try resetting my password AGAIN to do it and thereby risk not being able to log in at all again.

    You should not need to change your password (provided you know it) in myaccount.turbine.com in order to change your email address.

    Are you seeing the log in CAPTCHA when you try to log into myaccount?

    If you wish, Account Support should be able to assist you with this issue, either by getting in touch with them over the phone, or through support.turbine.com.

    I don't know the answer as to why you had a delay in seeing your password changed, but it - should - be a close-to-immediate process once you get the reset email.

    That's the odd thing. I was definitely logged in; my info was already filled out on the form. And yes, I did see the Captcha. Interestingly, out of all the times I attempted to reset my password, I only ever received ONE E-mail confirmation that it actually HAD been successfully reset.

    Theoretically I didn't need to *change* my password, but I did need to *enter* it before the E-mail change would take place. And that's where the issue began. I kept getting a message that my password and account name didn't match. I can see this happening once, even twice, maybe even three times if I was having a bad typo night... but not EVERY blessed time. Double-checked caps lock, typed each character very carefully - same thing, every time. That was why I decided to try resetting it. *Not* something I intend to try again; I'd rather Turbine had an outdated E-mail while I'm able to log in than them have a current E-mail and me NOT be able to log in.

    ETA: Happy to report that I did get an E-mail back from customer service. They've manually changed my contact E-mail and all is well.
