Default 17/2/1 wiz/monk/rogue, would this work?

ive just returned to the game from a loooong absence and i am overwhelmed by the amount of new information i have to proces

ive always been playing a pure 20 wiz dc caster, would it be possible to go 17/2/1 wiz/monk/rogue and gain some ability to melee, evasion and trapskills without loosing too much on the dc's? is it worth it?

im currently a pure 20 wiz with about 51 dc with no epic destiny active.

im also considering something like 12/6/2 wiz/monk/rogue or something similar and just ignoring dc's, but that seems a bit wastefull since i already have alot of dc gear. how usefull is this build nowdays?

also im frequently doing EE's so the build has to be able to handle those well enough

I'm having the same dilemma, wanting to do an unarmed Wiz with Monk splash. In terms of DPS, you will be able to achieve respectable numbers but you will need to invest feats. Being Wizard, you could be able to squeeze them while still being able to get the required Wiz feats.

DC's were not too much my concern, because if anything it's just the capstone and the Spell pen that you miss (which past lives can take care of).

Playstyle would probably be my worry because you'd have to switch your casting weapons with DPS weapons (handwraps or Qstaff, etc) everytime you enter a fight, which might be more of a burden than fun. On the other hand, with a Bard, that's what I do, and it was more fun than a burden.

Perhaps my real concern is not being able to Stunning Fist, which although is pretty awesome, Wiz should be able to do away with CC spells.
