Cannot Access Game Files

When I launch DDO, MY laptop gives me the message that it cannot open the data files. It says to make sure the files exist and that I have permission to write to them. Can someone help me?

I have a second machine and I ran into the same issue. It says error 201: cannot access game files or you need permission.

As so far, this is what I have noticed:
I downloaded Lamannia first. So it takes the default game path and registers it for the test client.

Renaming the Lamannia path and putting ddo in the right path does not fix this.

Will try some other stuff tonight.

allowing 'show hidden files ' may be the trick(reloadin game now)there is a link path in the 201 message thread for this option
