4 great runs last night! Though I made more than my share of mistakes... Great job on pulling through the near-wipe on my mis-called re-entry that led the party right into an inferno!

We got a litany, 2 quivers and quite a few other items and a bunch of seals!

Thanks for coming everyone and hope to see you next week!!

Thank you Gingerspyce and High Lords! I wish they had a way to practice these puzzles without actually running the raid - it makes it tough for slow learners like me.

Anyhow, I really appreciate the opportunity to run this raid and learn these puzzles.

You can and it's easy. Get a friend that you want to practice with. At least one of you should be able to raise dead. Go in on normal.

    1. Beat the abbot down to 70% (very easy to do with 2 people on normal)
    2. Person that can raise stays in center. Other person goes into a puzzle door.
    3. If it's the puzzle you want, then you go in.
    4. If not, spotter jumps to their death and you raise them in the center and send them through another door.
    5. Repeat steps 2-4 until you get the puzzle you want

The puzzle locations are random, but the most common locations for each puzzle are:
    Left: Goggles
    Middle: Roids
    Right: Ice
    So try these first.

One caveat is that if you want to practice goggles and you want to make sure that you are on a certain side then you will need to have the spotter die if they end up in goggles on the side you want. Raise them in the center, then send them into goggles again. Now you go in and you'll be on the side they originally went into. This is because the first side you appear on is random and every successive person that enters the puzzle appears on the opposite side from the previous person.

If anyone wants a goggles training session, send me a tell and I'm happy to do if I'm not busy

Thank you. I have 2 others in the guild and one other person we run with that wants to learn the raid, but they aren't able to join on Tuesdays. We will give this a try.

    Cool Abbotfest video!

Been wanting to do a video of one of our abbots but been waiting for a first-timer so that I can capture the explanation. Tonight Jruid joined us and it was his first!

So here's how to lead an abbot raid and it includes an explanation of the goggles puzzle. This was our 4th run of the night!

The tiles in the partycrashers main room are about the same size.
(might have to envision a 2x2 in there as a single tile in abbot, can't remember off-hand)

    Ginger,

I still don't have an entire hotbar of viles yet and this is unacceptable...do you guys tend to have extra slots for these shin-digs?

Yup it's first come first-served at 9pm EST, look for the lfm. We'll usually keep running them all night as long as we keep filling them. I have 6 toons flagged and got all night tonight!

Abbotfest has been tons of fun! We took a week off for Mark of Death but we are going to do HEROIC Abbotfest again next week and if interest persists then we will continue the event indefinitely. Heroic abbot loot is still solid

Hope to see you there next week!

Pardon the necro; I've heard Voodu advertise the High Lords Abbotfest on DDOCast but this is the only forum thread I could find on it.

My static group of four level 28s would like to join your Abbotfest for our first run of the raid. Not new players, but none of us has run Abbot before.

Are you still running these at 9 Eastern? We'll look for you guys Tuesday (9 Jun 15) and hope we can tag along.

Hi Purple, this is the right place. Voodu is my alt and yep still 9pm EST

We welcome you to join us for these events, but we don't hold spots ahead of time, so if you're interested then be sure to hit the lfm right at 9pm est, as they sometimes fill quickly!

Looking forward to running with you and your team!

I want to say a big thanks to Ginger and the High Lords in general. Never thought I'd get to do most of these raids and I've been able to learn quite a bit doing them. Thanks again for the opportunity to see how both goggles and ice work as well. You guys are amazing.

Now to get a microphone so I can lead people to their deaths...

Kudos to the high lords for organizing this.

In all my times running the abbott with old guildies, pugs, etc, I can't recall anyone offering to teach the parts in great detail especially goggles. I ran this with HL a few weeks ago and they explained it in a patient manner and gave everyone a shot at doing all of the jobs.

And a completion was good too.

    Default Abbotfest continues!!

I'm really happy that even after Quivers were given out for the 10th Anniversary event and even with the lag, that interest in Tuesday Night Abbotfest continues! This has been a public event for nearly 2 years and the High Lords were doing Tuesday guild abbots for years before that. I hope others will be encouraged to join in the fun tradition of Tuesday Night Abbotfest. This is a difficult raid to pug and a tricky one to learn, but we are happy to take first timers and show you the abbot ropes!

Just a funny moment from last night's Abbotfest
