    Default bard arti theory

so i know you can't swashbuckle with a bastard sword, but arti's do best with those and dwarven axes (in melee) but would a splash of bard for the int to damage make sense? 3 levels of loss in arti doesn't seem to hurt too much and that paired with insightful strikes makes int all you need. from a low level too.

so does this make sense? is it worth it?

The main drawbacks to splashing an arty are losing the capstone, the 5th bonus feat, and two lvl 6 spell slots.

But you may want to crunch the DPS numbers to figure out if the glancing blows from d.axe or b.sword really make up for the crit bonuses from Swashbuckling - particularly since you can't take SWF and THF feats simultaneously.
