I don't mind waiting. More wanting to lock down a spot for whenever it does happen (a month, two months, three months from now). I started playing about 6 months back, leveled up several dudes and TR'd a couple times. Got bored though because I could never find groups. Or they were just zerg PUGs which were horrid. Really interested in joining a group that lets me experience more content.

Cool. Regarding zerg/flowersniff, I'd say we are somewhere in between. We definitely make it a point to run ALL the content. We don't skip tons of quests and then farm out the high XP ones or c r a p like that. We are level 25 at the moment, nearly 26, but we have gianthold, wheloon, stormhorns, orchard, and maybe a few other high-level epic quests left to do. So, I think we're looking at a few months before we TR. You don't happen to have a toon on Argo already, do you?

LOL - That is exactly why I logged on right now to ask all you. Yes, I want to be in the same world as everyone. IT'S A ONE-TIME DECISION, TOO. Once we pick, we would have to pay to change. (Which is really stupid, if you ask me...) I'll roll up in Sorrows Furnace.

I have a pen-and-paper group today from noon to 5 pm. However, the nature of those things is they sometimes run over. So, I may be a little late for tonight. (I believe we were probably going to do TOR next; if you guys want to do that first, and I miss it, it's easy to get a pug for if I need to make it up. Or you can do some puzzle quests that some of you like and you know I just fall asleep in. )

I think I've decided on what I'll do next life. Something similar to the Count of Monte Cristo build. It's a pure bard. I rolled it up on Lamannia, and it rocks.

Features:

• outstanding DPS - it was killling dojo kobolds in about 1/2 the time that my current Nynaave build was
• good crowd control - disco, charms, and fascinate
• heals - enough to meet our needs
• songs and other buffs, including the 10% sp discount song

I may rethink my build then, if you think there is enough heals for us all. I can go more DPS based using my current Monk/Rogue/Fighter build (some healing with light monk), or I can stay with my cleric build for aura. let me know.

This is what I find currently when we play: I almost never have to heal. And when I do, it's a quick cocoon. Very very rarely does all hell break lose and I have to heal "full time" and then only very briefly.

That said, I think a pure bard with cocoon and cure critical wounds (with empower heal, etc.) and heal scrolls will be plenty for us. I'll also have discos and other crowd control stuff going on. I think this will be key, because another thing I see a lot of right now is the mobs going after the wizard, the ranger, and the arty a ton. This makes it hard on them, and hard on the melees (me). The best solution to THAT problem is crowd control. And of course crowd control brings with it a greatly reduced need for healing.

I think what would would need most is some DPS. Honestly, when Tagez was here, we didn't have much of a problem with mobs going after Clydde, Meensc, and Greatun, probably because he was in there 1st and wacking stuff for big damage and grabbing aggro. So, I think some nice DPS to replace that would work great.

I forgot, since last week was Easter week, we didn't have the meeting I normally go to on the first Thursday of the month. It has been moved to tonight.

You can do ToEE if you want, I was holding out to do it the first time in our group.

No ToEE. Maybe we'll do this on Sunday, or next Sunday. We have other stuff still, and it sounds like there are bugs and stuff that they need to work out first. (Surprise, surprise...)

TOEE - normal - did all 4 element zones, and then wiped at the end fight. Insta-kill waves on normal??? The mobs were pushovers the whole quest until we got to the end. This was disappointing.
