The shared bank was one of the best things I ever bought in my premium days, and the value it brought was well worth the price I paid.

Personally, I think the shared bank is fairly priced given the optional functionality it adds to the game. And it goes on sale regularly enough for people to get at least a 20% break on it.

I do have a problem with the 995 TP it costs to add 10 slots to it, though.

You can purchase 20 Bank Slots for 595.

But it's 995 for a measly 10 shared slots?

It should be 300 for 10 slots (especially after the 1495 upfront cost).

I like this proposal, it's clearly well thought out and with good points. I think this is something that Turbine should actually take a look at. Where chasing the extra slots by earning the turbine points isn't such a huge number and turning people off. I think people who are going to spend money on the game already bought these slots long ago, but for people who might be running out of goals now have a tp point goal to crank out a few more lives to earn for.

Given that you can earn a max of 1250 tp in a life with the current favor situation(5000 favor, bumps every 100 so the math here is 25 X 50 in case anyone wondered where I got that figure) give or take currently, if you have all the packs you could get 40 points in a single life if you play all the content on elite (heroic elite for the older epic packs that have both versions, the only epic elites you'd have to do are MOTU, THunderholme, and a few other random epic only quests. For pure free to play players, earning a set or two of slots a life should be reasonable too even with a minimum of ground out packs.

I think VIP's should also get free slots. I mean it would be fitting if basic system functions like these were vip free.

You do get free slots.
And free plat storage.
And free access to the shared bank.
Prem/FTP have no auto access to either of these things. - Have to pay out of pocket to get em.
Oh and you get what, like 45 or some odd ingred bag slots on your shared bank vs. 12 on Prem/FTP.

Um...no, we pay $15 every month out of pocket. It's not free, it's part of what we pay for. And continue to pay for every month. You only pay when you want something. The only ones who get ANYTHING financially free in this game are those who do pure free to play and grind it all out with time, which is also fair since they aren't helping to support the game itself other than population, while using resources Turbine has to pay for.
