Default Increase the Commendation rate in Caught in the Web - Revitalize the raid.

    Hello.

As the Developers may or may not be aware, the Caught in the Web raid dungeon that was introduced during the most recent expansion the Shadowfell Conspiracy, contains certain items that many people desire, and one or two that are considered the best available for certain builds. Unfortunately, for some time after the release of this content, there was a bug regarding the loot lists on the 20th completion rewards of certain raids. To combat this, Turbine issued eligible characters with a Raider's Box item, containing a selection of the weaponry from the Caught in the Web raid as well as an option for Commendations of Heroism. This was a generous gesture by Turbine and many people appreciated it. Unfortunately, it also removed the need for a large portion of the playerbase to run this raid.

Today, there are very few Caught in the Web raid groups posted on the LFM, and even fewer that actually fill with 12 players and go on to complete the raid. This is due in part to the reason I have stated above, but also another and quite crucial fact. The drop rate of the Commendations of Heroism in the chests at the end of the raid is significantly lower than that of other raids. An example would be the Fall of Truth raid. It is a publicly acknowledged fact that if you wish to obtain Commendations of Heroism to upgrade your raid equipment, you will much more easily obtain them from a FoT raid than you would by running Caught in the Web - even to the degree that the majority of players will not even bother to run CitW at all.

This is not so much of a problem for players who have received Raider's Boxes. However, for all new characters and new players, if you want to obtain some of the excellent loot this raid provides, you are going to have a hard time of obtaining it due to the lack of interest and the poor drop rates compared to other raids.

I submit to the development team that a quick and easy fix to encourage old players to join LFM's for this raid is to increase the Commendation of Heroism drop rates to that similar of a FoT raid. Not only would this benefit the people who wish to obtain Caught in the Web raid loot, but it would also assist those older players by giving them another alternative to obtaining Commendations of Heroism.

I would like to encourage the community to show their support for this suggestion by commenting below. Perhaps if we demonstrate a public desire for such a change the development team will more strongly consider the situation.

    Thank you for reading.

FOT is a higher level quest (albeit only one level). Increase the CoVs sure, but not to an equal level. Would be better if they ran weekly bonus cov/12 token events on specific raids or packs - this would encourage purchase of lesser used packs, as well as encourage regular cycling by the playerbase through all the L20+ raid content.

Then give us Epic Tempest Spine and Epic Titan please

A FoT run can be completed in 20 minutes. Caught in the Web takes considerably longer.

I have zero issues with the drop rate being increased to match that of FoT purely based on the fact it takes considerably more work to complete than a FoT raid does.

All of this. I was in an FoT where we were at wipe minus 1 status twice, and the Truthful One revived once, and it still took only about 30 minutes. I have never been in a CitW that finished in under an hour.

This needs to be seen by the development.
