Congratulations to Exploited Killers!
It's sad that the bad actions of some guilds have tainted achievements like this. I don't play on Sarlona and I don't know what guilds do/don't exploit for renown, so PLEASE do not take this as a statement that Exploited Killers exploited to get this renown. Just that it's sad that Turbine has let exploits sit for so long and that Turbine isn't doing anything to figure out who is/isn't exploiting for renown and that it's also sad that some bad actors have taken advantage of these problems that Turbine keeps leaving in the game.
Congratulations to Exploited Killers nonetheless!
No one in the world ever gets what they want
And that is beautiful
Everybody dies frustrated and sad
And that is beautiful

I don't do it very often, but I do farm renoun.
Why? Because you could level a guild high enough for a ship chest, which is additional storage. Its easy to favor farm for Turbine Points to get a Guild Charter (150 TPs) Of course the last update was a game changer regarding guild storage. I wish I had the plat to stock up on ship chests for my guilds before we can no longer buy them.
I farm renoun in 2 ways. I will que up a bunch of sagas and turn them in (pop pot b4 turn in). Or you can run 1-3 epic saga chains an night for comms and renoun. There are several popular circuits. There are some roads less traveled that are good too.
The second way is to farm quests. Farm quest at level or below. I recently moved 2 toons out of one my guilds and the guild took a hit in renoun. I used the free pots that we got a few weeks ago and this weekend's boost to renoun. I lost about 4 levels moving those toons and I made them back last night. I used small guild bonus to my advantage as well.
I took 3 Level 2-3 toons and ran Haverdasher on Hard to ransack (2 chests plus quest turn in for renoun to drop). Got my levels back no problem. I used Haverdasher for quick turn and burn to get the most out of the free pots. I have multiple accounts, so I was able to use 3 free pots from the free deal of the week.
There are clusters of quests throughout the game the can be farmed fast for renoun while at, or under level. You would like a 4 min or less completion time and quests with lots of chests to get the most out of your pots. I run without pots for the most part unless they are free. I get nice renoun from sagas as well, so I don't sweat the pots. I do renoun farming without pots and don't mind.
If you get 2 or 3 buddies to do this with you on a regular basis (sagas and quest farming) you can level a guild very fast.
I ran EE Twin Dragon raid with EK this weekend.
The party leader from EK insisted that nobody use tornado pots because he wanted a clean/honest win. And we did.
My experience with EK is that they are some of the best players on Sarlona. They were short the 2 people that normally handle the dragons and all of their casters. It was still a very easy run with 5 random PUGS although with a higher than usual death count since the people normally handling the dragons weren't there.
With such a huge number of top-tier players it's no shock to me they are the first guild to reach 200. I was able to gain 3 levels by taking banked sagas with 2 of my characters the first day of U22.
Now imagine all the best players on Sarlona all being in the same guild. Of course they can do it and they did. They play alot and play the highest difficulties only.
Doesn't much matter now an inactive player that I always thought was one of the nicest players in DDO took over the guild and either kicked or demoted everyone.
I guess I am happy being in my small drama-free guild.
Well congrats to that guild.
My take on how they got to 200 is that they did every single renown giving quest in DDO on Elite and Epic Elite and banked them, waited for Sagas to return, got drunk with Renown pots and BOOM! Level 200.
Although if they used an exploit to get to 200 then, yes, ban them.
Or their guild name "Exploited Killers" could, ironically, mean that they dislike people who uses exploits.
Actually, the guild is past :/ The successor took over the leadership now after the leader was perm banned a while back, booted half of the guild and refused to pass the lead to the 2nd account of the former leader. Now they are leaving that beautiful guild with the beautiful Kraken ship.. to join a lvl 103 guild.
Must be devastating after all the work of getting the renown and the shards for the ship.
Completionists: Heroic 42/42, Epic 36/36, "Iconic" 15/15
I am glad they were able to quickly re-assemble after that.

Yea they left to join another because the successor would not pass the lead and booted like half of the guild. Their leaving was a consequence of what happened before. They had no hope left to get the guild "back" so they left.
I dont know whats with the new leader or if he's gonna be playing again. He's one of the nicest people i've met on sarlona, always funny and good for a joke. I rly dont know what they did to him that he goes mental like that

I have been at the lake for the past week, and I just found out about the guild.
Even players that are known server wide as being great players and nice people were booted.
Yea, all the members left/got booted except the perma banned toons and a small group of others, and still, they only lost 1 million renown and are currently down to 199. Lucky for the leader, though, because he got the guild for himself now, with all the levels and almost no renown loss, even after booting all ppl.
oh and Aulldeath, he booted all the people he didnt know to be in the guild before he took his break, meaning all the elite players that jrg invited. Guess they were not elite enough for Pedos
