    Default Ship XP WAI?

I noticed that using the One Click ship button gives me a +5% XP shrine. Not the old one still stored in the cargo hold, but the new Shrine of Experience V. This is great and all but it doesn't seem to be WAI for two major reasons:

•It lasts for only 1 hour and 30 minutes. This means that all the other buffs lasting for however long are completely useless. May as well make them all last for a flat 1.5 hours because I wont be running without the +5% any time soon, therefore I'll have to rebuff every 1.5 hours, which is very little improvement over the previous 1 hour.
•It is removed on death. I thought that the new buffs would persist through death, and though they do, the XP shrine does not. Therefore it makes the buffs that do completely useless for the same reason in the first bullet. If I die, I will have to go rebuff now, so may as well make the other buffs disappear on death as well because I will receive them again when buffing.

So, this isn't WAI, is it? Because if it is, they may as well make all the buffs last only 1.5 hours and disappear on death.

Yeah, idk what is up with that. They said the 5 percent shrine would be available until they start dropping in chests. Perhaps this is how they're implementing it.

The buff associated with the new XP shrines should be working similarly to the other new guild buffs, lasting as long, persisting through death, and pausing in public areas.

I've had trouble personally reproducing this. The buff I'm seeing on my live character is lasting much longer than 90 minutes (depends on your guild level) and pausing in public spaces.

Perhaps you are actually getting the older XP buff? Note that if you take both the old 5% XP buff and have a new XP buff that's lower than 5%, the new one will be suppressed while the old one lasts, since the new one is a lower number with the same bonus type (like any other buff).

We don't have a new xp shrine on our ship at all. We only have the old 5% one down in the cargo hold. Clicking the buff all button gives a 90 minute 5% xp buff ad described earlier though. (counts down everywhere and disappears on death)

vargouille, correct I've noticed this and the old buff replaces it once it gets lower than 1 hour, the old training dummy used to get 1 hour 30 mins when I hit the buff button, but once we got one of the new buffs that replaces it I get that once instead (hence you being unable to replicate it if you already have a new exp shrine).

It should be WAI and extended to all the old buffs.

I still run to my airship every hour to get the old buffs ...

I've also have lost the new xp buff before it ran out. Unfortunately I didn't notice exactly when it happened, and I can't easily reproduce it cause it didn't come from my own ship.

I can say though that I didn't grab the old xp buff in the meantime, but the new one was just gone at some point.

(Theory: maybe it expires after 1h30 even if the buff says it lasts 4h? Dunno)

    Is this a joke?

U22 broke so many important things in the game and you want them to take away one of the few good things?
Instead of using the old XP shrine every hour, you can get it automagically with the buff bar for 30 mins more. It saves time.

What is your problem? Are you trying to alienate the players?

Its happening every time on our ship (Glaive).

We do not have a new XP shrine, since the 1500 AS price is beyond ridiculous.

We have the old 5% shrine in the cargo hold. When I hit the amenities bar there is a 5% 1hr 30 min XP buff added. Its from the bar, but has to be the old shrine, since we don't have a new one. Having it be 1:30 is a very nice improvement, so, I personally hope you leave it alone, or better yet add the other cargo buffs to the bar and make them 1hr 30 min.

Feel lucky. None of the old amenities are supposed to be available through the buff bar on the deck. Since this is going there, don't complain.

I do see an issue with ships that have both, but that is separate from those that only have one.

This has happened to me twice so far. I cannot reproduce this reliably, but my hunch is it has to do with taking legacy buffs when you already have the new buffs active. However, it isn't as simple as the XP buff overwriting the newer one. Our ship has an old 4% shrine in the cargo hold but a new 5% shrine, so there is no way the old shrine should overwrite the new buff, yet as I mentioned, twice the new XP buff has worn off prematurely.

The first time I noticed the buff missing around the 90 minute mark others mentioned. The second time I noticed I had lost the XP buff while my other ship buffs had only ticked down for 43 minutes, though it's possible in that case I had hit some old buffs about 90 minutes earlier, then hit the "get all buffs" button 40-some minutes later as I passed through the ship again.

I now ignore the legacy ship buffs, and so far I have not seen the new XP buff wear off prematurely after making that adjustment.

I have bug reported this with all the details I have, but I have not found a way to reproduce this reliably. If I do, I'll file another report with more info.

I will take a screenie, however, when I hit the buff bar with no buffs, my exp boost is 1.5 hours.

what you are getting is the old exp buff they have linked the old exp shrine to the button its the only old buff that is linked to the button bc of the cost of the new one and them not dropping in chests yet

As shown in SS, description says it disappears on death. Is this WAI also?

I am in a guild of just myself and I have only the new xp buff (at 3%) and have found that this buff is not removed on death but it is dispellable. (a quick trip to invaders was enough to reproduce this)

A bigger issue for our guild is every day ALL our ship buffs DISAPPEAR and must be replaced. This is really annoying. We have the max astral shard ship, GL 125.

We have the Stormglory Typhoon. We do NOT have the new XP Shrine (AS cost is a bit on the high side). We DO have the legacy 5% XP Shrine in the cargo hold. When I click the Amenity Bar, it does give us a 1 hour, 30 min 5% xp buff. I am in agreement with others that this has to be linked to the 5% shrine in the cargo hold. It ticks in public areas and does not persist through death. I for one am pleased with the fact that this happens and would like to see it stay.

After about an hour (this was when I noticed it was gone, so at some point before that), I noticed my new XP buff was gone. Both from me and my guildie. The other buffs were all still up. We do not have the old XP buff on our ship anymore - we removed it because we noticed it overwrote the new buff, or so we thought. At this point, it seems more likely the new buff ran out and the other one kicked in instead.

I checked both buff bar and XP gotten from "effects" or whatever. It was not present in buff bar, and it did not give any XP bonus.
