Hello,

Auction of a Original Otto's Irresistible Box, but I decided to try doing the things a little different. I'll auction the box through the forum ^^
(I don't know if this is forbidden by the moderation, and if it is, please close the Thread, ok? I don't want to brake rules, just to try something in a different fashion.)

I know we can't trade things for Astral Shards directly, and what I came up for the payment is: The person who win the auction comes with an alternative toon, join my guild and make a deposit of the set quantity. I know it seems very weird, but this is a way to avoid paying 30% on the Shard Exchange (because when it comes to Astral Shards, 30% is too much )

Many people will see this as a scheme, but it is not and the winner can talk to me and we can arrange someway of doing this in a more secure way.

Well, enough chitchat of my part. Let's begin with this:


Initial Price: 3750 Astral Shards
Buyout: 7500 Astral Shards
End of Auction: June 19th, 2014 - 02:00 AM GMT (Once the forum time is GMT)

Anyone who wants to say that this is weird, wrong, and will not work... to curse me, or to say the prices are too high I have only one thing to say: Go ahead and do it! I couldn't do anything to stop you, right =D

Okay, replying to the two messages:

Alemau - If we have bid in the last minutes, I'll give another five minutes after this bid. If there's no bid after this 5 minutes, I'll consider the auction closed.

noble_pirate - Maybe I was not clear, but 7500 AS is the buyout and I don't think anybody would pay this much, this is just a "If you want it so bad, you pay that much and it's yours right now". My initial price is 3750 AS, what is quite lower then 5k, isn't it? If someone bids and nobody else bids (what's not so hard), it's his for a lower price than Shard Exchange^^ But I thank your advice about the price anyway and let us see what will come of this.

PS: About having to change it through GM for a Heroic Box, I don't think it's necessary to do so. Actually the Experience Stones of the past, when the Original Boxes were being sold, could be used to give you experience (that could be boosted by Experience Stones and Shrines) and could even go above level 20 if you use all the boosts. I really don't know if this is still true, somebody that see this post could maybe confirm this, right?

Original can be used only starting from charlevel 7 and original box doesn't include reincarnation timer reset.

Since the boxes in the Shard Exhange are being sold by 4k AS, this price is okay ^^

Just cause there being listed at that price is faaaaar from what they are selling for bro.
The person can trade 2-3 EE items for a stone... I think you gonna have this for along time with that price..

This is why ASAH prices get so confusing.

One the one hand, it IS possible to obtain thousands of shards without actually buying them with TP, so for the "F2P" players who refuse to ever drop a dime on the game, grinding out(buy obtaining EE items and selling them for shards) 3,000 or so shards to buy an otto's box is a legitimate option.

I'm not saying people do that, I'm just explaining that this is why ASAH prices are so hard to nail down. Plus it's nigh impossible to figure out what stuff is selling for vs. what its listing for. I'm just starting to learn the ASAH and it's confusing as all hell.

Most of us who actually has thousands of shards, never spent a cent on TP for them. Asking 3k-4k Shards for an Otto's BOX is actually a fair price. Don't let them convince you otherwise OP, your price is fine.

When I first posted this thread I knew people would consider the price too high, that's quite normal even with "real life markets", so why wouldn't it happen here, right?
Actually I was following the logic that AS can be obtained other ways then TPs, so that's why I asked for something like that.

I agree on the price. It's fair and less than I have sold a few for. You just can't compare dollars to dollars for stuff that can easily be acquired for free. It's not even a semi legitimate comparison and, frankly, it's just plain bad manners to discuss it in someone's for sale thread. A PM would have been more appropriate.
