Heya G-Land folks,

i did something semi stupid and could need some help (and since my guild is semi-dead, i wont get it from there :/ )

so i used an otto box on a lvl6 first lifer to skip the leveling cause i thought you get some basic gear with it which, as i later found out, were true for the old ottos but not the new ones. now i have a lvl20 without gear (besides con+6 belt and an elvencraft armor plus a semi weapon and offhand) also since all the new items i got on my main are all bound to character thus i cant swap them over and questing without gear is not very useful either.

now, im pretty sure you guys already know where im going to, but ill spell it out anyway:

does anyone have some basic gear lying around and wants to help out a fellow G-lander?
or even let me leech through some quests, maybe wheloon and stormhorns since their endreward is okish for starters?

i am currently online on Vistella (which also is that char, wiz12/ftr8) so if you want you can even contact me ingame

I don't have any characters on Ghallanda myself, but maybe someone from the Smithy Alliance might help you get some gear.

or you could acquire some gear from quests. you could perhaps start by running the Wheloon and Storm Horns quests on Casual for the guaranteed end rewards.

I just epic tr'd so im lvl 20 we could run some epics together EH or EE you can get some gear from that. I should be on around 5pm PST, Mandyb ( 2 Aug 2014)

Not sure what I have that's any good and not bound. If I see you in-game and have something I'll let you know.

You might try running challenges with another toon and farming up some of the epic cannith items. They're not really best in show or anything, but for a level 20, they're not bad either.

Cru121's suggestion wasn't bad either. Whether or not you're able to find some others to group with or not, you could farm up some decent items in those quests.

I'm guessing that you don't have a crafter. Too bad, as a Con +6/GFL belt would be a nice one for an EK.

cannith and challenges is something i dont own so i cant run those, wheloon is something i thought about already as well, but that flagging....

ive added Battlehauk and Mandyb now to my friends so i can see when you come online, esp since i am from germany so it might be tricky to meet otherwise cause of timezones (im like 6-9 hours after your time, so you have to be online pretty early while i have to stay up late^^)

the buildis swf+orb
weapon, armor and offhand arent needed, there i got some decent ones till i got the levels for the 22+ stuff i have, its just the jewelry and cloth stuff is what is missing (though i found a darkstorm helm which fits the build quite well for now so helm is settled as well)

i'm on weird u.s. times ,glad to help(l8ly im playin andylarocque or xbaronsamedi).I also suggest you run heroic elite gianthold saga.It spits some better than average gear, and you can use relics for augmenting new slots you are about to get(i'm guessing your main has little platinum for new gear)

You've probably got averything you need by now but for others who may make the same mistake OR just for any newbie who needs good mid level gear fast:


Relic of a Sovereign Past - Lvl 9s can run this on Casual - NO NEED TO FINISH THE QUEST so WON'T BREAK STREAK!

Once in main room take second exit on left - there's 8 side rooms down this tunnel; one of which has a chest with a key inside - once you have that key go back to main room and take 4th exit.
Clear tunnel and side rooms - collect adamantine ores {there's 15 but you might get one more if you get the 1/1.000.000 drop from a dead Duergar!}.
At the end of tunnel is a room with a Duergar NPC who will trade you some very nice gear for addy ores. My personal Favourites are:
