I know that nowadays soloing epic elite quests is not so terribly difficult as it used to be ... nevertheless:
Here a small collection of some EE solo completions. All were done with my shuriken build (Shirardi halfling ranger 12/monk 6/rogue 2 - posted the build some while ago before the enhancement update - will update it soon(TM))
ATM the only "endgame" quests missing on my EE checklist are extended Haunted Halls (not going to bother trying - the dragon got far too many hp on EE - not really interested in such a long battle) and What Goes Up (tried it - but the clerics always get me ... guess I'll need an Epic Phiarlan Cloak or some other form of light resistance before I can give it a serious shot again)
From the ones I completed:
The Hardest: A Study in Sable
IMO this was by far the hardest - Having to kite in such a small area, while making sure to maintain Protection from Evil with scrolls, healing myself, keeping the vamp in the light, dodging his devastating attacks and healing myself was really tough. (Have to give some credits to Preppy's Youtube video here - didn't know that Turbine fixed Protection from Evil to work in epics now too - would have almost given up on this one if I hadn't stumbled upon his video^^)
The Most Annoying: Brothers of the Forge
This quest is just insanely long, with each mob having a gazillion hp and at the same time lots of stuff having resistances and/or immunities to a lot of things ... the completion time speaks for itself ...
The One I am Most Proud Of: Lines of Supply
For some unknown reason I screwed up my Twists before starting this one. Thus when I tried to heal myself inside with cocoon, I had to discover a little surprise: I had actually managed to set up my twists WITHOUT cocoon. Additionally this build has no scroll damage amp => I was down to CMW and un-amped Heal-scrolls. Despite the odds, I managed an almost flawless run: Only a few gnolls could escape and I didn't die even once.
So ... here is the list (in roughly chronological order):
EE HH:
Died once when I got a bit over-self-confident and aggroed a too many zombies at once (in the necromancy chambers where the second crest is located).
EE Brothers of the Forge:
Died once from a dog critting me for around 1k damage with an Adrenalin proc ... fortunately the last shrine was just around a corner so I didn't have to use a cake.
EE A Study in Sable:
Died thrice in the endfight ...
EE Lines of Supply:
Without Rejuvenation Cocoon and with 0% scroll damage amp!
EE The Tracker's Trap:
EE Breaking the Ranks:
IMO the second hardest of this list - died three times: Once by getting knocked down by a giant and not getting up fast enough again to heal myself, then I tried to rez at the entrance as I kinda thought that I would be out of range from the giants - well I was wrong and when I tried to dodge an incoming attack I triggered a spellward and died - third time I died was then when I tried to rez in the gnoll camp - unfortunately I didn't remember the position of the spellwards correctly -> rezzed and insta-died again because I were rezzing too close to a spellward.
EE A Break in the Ice:
Pretty easy actually
EE Friends in Low Places:
Died twice: Once when the final boss spawned (got harried over and over and then I died) and the second time when the final boss was finally dead and I wanted to start taking down the rest of the mobs - I went from no to red alert within a split second the game froze for several seconds and well ... then I was dead ... yay to the quest mechanic *sigh*
EE A Lesson in Deception:
EE Thrill of the Hunt:
Was kinda surprised about just HOW hard the end boss hit - thank god there often were all those doggies between me and him, blocking the boss off, so I could get away and heal up^^
EE Through a Mirror Darkly:
Was surprisingly easy
EE Army of Shadow:
