Default Looking to build a TR Monk

Hi. I'm nearing the tail end of my rogue life at the moment and I'm thinking I want to run as a monk for my next life in the great line that is completionist.
The thing is though... I've never been a fan of plain builds. I like weird things. But I'm curious... is monk/pally viable anymore? I quit playing for about 7 months so I don't remember much. I'm looking for something that's incredibly solo-friendly as I hate having to wait for groups to run things I need to get done.

Quick briefing on my situation to better help:
This will be my 8th life. Previous lives were cleric x2, fighter, druid, ranger, artificer, and rogue.
Every life has been a monk splash except for the first two cleric lives and artificer life, so I have many, many handwraps.
I also have plenty of sticks due to current life as an acrobat. So I'm open to builds of either weapon types! I'd rather not have to make totally new greensteel
I tend to run solo even in groups. I'm a hasty person, so big self heals = big bonus.
Running without VIP now, so do not have access to druid, iconics, or half elf/warforged at the moment :c

Preferably I'd like to try a splash build but I'm also interested in seeing if a pure monk really is what it's cracked up to be, so any advice is awesome. Thanks in advance <3
    Main Character:
    Pyrerose, the Queen of Thorns
Triple Heroic Completionist. still in love with heroic content
    Current life(#71)
The Dragon Went Down to Georgia - Pure 20 Bard, Fire based Tiefling Scoundrel Spellsinger.
    Current Project:
Pure Summoner Challenge - Reach level 30 (mostly) solo with 100% damage done by summoned creatures with max favour.
    Blossomrose, Sister of Pacifism
    20 Druid.

For an unarmed monk pastlife unless you're considering something like a pastlifenmo 9/9/2 splash, unarmed monks keep gaining power as they level, + most of the bonuses are front loaded.

If you wanted a staff build, absolutely splash some rogue levels, as once you reach 12monk, further monk levels don't offer alot.

As for unarmed lives, I like W/f 16monk/1f/3arti builds, gains elemental weapons, full class umd, and a puppy for the levers in von 3 / wiz king / delara 2, and hasteboost, + arti repair light wounds is enough healing for me till I can umd heal scrolls.

    leveling order = 1monk, 1arti, 1monk, 1fighter, 1arti, 10monk, 1arti, 4monk.

I do prefer unarmed, and I've never thought about splashing artificer before! For a fleshy would it still make sense? I currently don't have access to warforged :s

Not quite as much sense as it would on a w/f, but at the same time the only difference is giving up repair light wounds, spending 4ap to get +75% effectiveness from wands & scrolls with a single level arti level is well worth the splash alone imo.

Cuirrently doing 18 monk 2fighter (only 1 fighter for heroics)

    Half Elf
    Cleric Dilettante
    Light Monk

    Why its useful:
    Restoration
    Heal scrolls

You might struggle to be able to get enough UMD for restoration or Heal Scrolls in good time. With Cleric Dil you can cast Restoration at lowbie levels at 65%. This % doesn't decrease even with neg. levels unlike UMD.
