High Lords will host Tower of Despair teaching raid on Saturday, May 31 at 8pm EST

Last Saturday's VOD and HOX event was a good time and we had several people join that had not attended one of our previous events! Click HERE to read about it!

The next raid in our series will be Tower of Despair on Saturday, May 31 at 8pm EST.

As with all events in our teaching raid series, the raid is for players newer to the raiding scene or players that are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Dbags not welcome. Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids, and to enhance the Sarlona community.

If you are new to TOD, you will need to be flagged by running 4 quests in Amrath: Genesis Point, Sins of Attrition, A New Invasion and Bastion of Power. You will need access to The Devils of Shavarath adventure pack.

You will also want to acquire Boots of Anchoring prior to the raid. Boots of Anchoring prevent you from being banished out of the plane of Shavarath and out of the raid. The final boss Horoth can cast Banishment, and if you don't have some way to absorb spells, you will be teleported out of the raid faster than you can say "why am I suddenly in the marketplace?" If you get banished, you will not be able to re-enter the raid and get loots. You can acquire Boots of Anchoring by trading 1 each of the following ingredients Devil's Keepsake, Pure Shavarath Iron, Demon's Blood and Mysterious Artifact to the Planescaller Liella d'Orien in Amrath. If you cannot acquire Boots of Anchoring before the raid, you may still join, but please bring some kind of spell absoption item such as Mantle of the Worldshaper, Pale Lavender Ioun Stone, Epic Phiarlan Mirror Cloak, Jeweled Cloak, Scarab of Spell Absorption, etc.

Usually all spaces are spoken for by the time of the raid, so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please contact me in game on Gingerspyce.

Please Note:
In part 3, Horoth will cast Banishment with a DC ranging from 30-64 depending on the difficulty.

If your will save is 58 or greater you can safely use the tier 1 twist Impregnable Mind from magister and will not get banished from the raid, no matter the difficulty.
If your will save is less than 58, you will likely need to get yourself some Boots of Anchoring, be sure to check your green bags for boot ingredients you may have obtained whilst flagging.

We had 3 people signed up for the event but all were no-shows or cancellations, so we scrapped TOD for this evening.
