    Default "Nature's Tempest I & II" 9D/11Rngr and 9D/9Rngr/2F ***Ranger Winter Wolf Builds***

    I've been away from DDO and the forums for almost a year, and I've come back to see that TWF feats now apply to Druid animal forms, though that apparently was not what the developers intended. This is quite interesting to me because the last time I was on DDO I was working with Druid melee builds https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...d-Melee-Builds . Certainly, however, this latest development—or, eh hem, exploit—with TWF changes the game quite a bit.

    Here are a couple of theory builds I've quickly come up with per the current situation. I would appreciate any critiques or comments you might have.

    The first build is 9Druid/11Ranger for various reasons—GTWF, Evasion, winter wolf, tempest, natures warrior, etc. My first thought was that this might be fun for someone working on a completionist build who wants to zip though the ranger class (while the TWF exploit is still available), so I've only sketched it out in terms of the first 20 levels. I also thought it might be fun to simply confuse people by having a ranger icon displayed while being a winter wolf. Seriously, though, at the highest levels the expectations of you from other players will be entirely different from being a druid melee build because you are actually a ranger melee build, and ranger will be your icon. For example, eventually nobody will be asking your winter wolf build to cast an effective earthquake or heal. Yay!

    welcome back.

    before you go building this, you might like to know that the new feats(that aren't out just yet, prolly another week) 'single weapon fighting' also have a... lets call it 'unique' feature with wolf form druids. you can get your twf bonus and swf bonus while using one weapon in wolf form.

    The trouble is fitting in all those feats

    would want natural fighting, and maybe shield mastery ( I hear you get the shield mastery double strike bonus while using an orb, and still qualify for the swf attack speed bonus, and the +80% off hands).

    Yep, fitting in all the feats is the problem.
    I did two winter wolf builds on lammania over last week.

    Basic feats I took on both:
    Cleave
    Great Cleave
    PA
    Emp. Heal
    Quicken
    Impr. crit. Bludgeoning
    3 x SWF
    3 x TWF
    Overwhelming Critical
    Rest: Natural Fighting

    That's 13 feats already + x leftover for natural fighting.

    First build was 9 Druid/9Ranger/2Fighter
    Second build was 9Druid/9Monk/2Fighter

    Both can fit in all of the above. On the monk build I also took Master Stance as a feat.
