You can get Shadow Star from Shan-To-Kor chain in the Steam Tunnels.

I might suggest farming Sharn chain for a BtA crafting blank returning shuriken.

The craftable ones are so hard to come by. Currently dry on the AH and no luck in chests either even with the monk gear in options checked.

One going in the shard exchange for 70. The greensteel is even cheaper lol.
