    Default Thrower build options

Been looking at trying one of these, and now that I finished getting competitionist thought I would give it a look. Figured I would do an iconic shadarki or something just because, and leaning towards 12/4/4 https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...rikens-pew-pew! as an example, but there has been good cases made for pure monk as well. Feedback?

There are many thrower builds out there now so the choice is entirely yours. It depends mainly on your preferences and playstyle. You can go with monk, wizard or rogue as main class or go pure monk. Race is usually drow but you can also choose to be undead, halfling or warforged.

As i recently said in my Shuricannon thread it is a difficult time to choose a (semi)permanent thrower build because with the coming update the bard PrE Swashbuckler might also provide a solid base for new types of thrower builds (which not necessarily need to be shuriken throwers). Also they are introducing the Single Weapon fighting style feats which might offer new options and they are working on the bug where extended crit ranges from enhancements are not working which will boost the DPS output of pure monk builds and might make halfling competitive to drow in some builds too when the fix is in place.
Also since the last update they introduced a bug where Sting of the Ninja poison DOT does not work with named shuriken anymore which will hopefully be fixed soon too. And since they are thinking about changing inflated monster stats in epic elite quests some builds with high AC might be more valuable soon too so i expect some changes with thrower builds in the next one or two updates.

If they fix the ninja capstone, I think monk-20 will become the strongest thrower build by a clear margin. Pushing the crit range from 5%, doubled to 10% to 10%, doubled to 20% and adding the poison should push the net damage per unit time well above the other competitors.

Out of curiousity, is there a build that does TWF in addition to shurikens that doesn't compromise the DPS of the shuriken option too badly? The ninja capstone with something like the brush hook kama would be pretty crazy in terms of the number of crits and thus poison it produced.

Right now though I think the 12 monk, 3 rogue, 5 wizard build with permatensers may be the best one, especially if you're not a fan of constantly scrolling. 5 wizard levels and 3 rogue levels just brings a crazy amount of utility to the table and the synergy between EK and a monk is really strong.

Ninja capstone is fixed on Lamannia. Crit range on a regular shuriken is 15-20 with IC:Thrown now (18-20 without IC:Thrown).

Sting of the Ninja poison still does not work though.
