Default Order of Syncletica: Maximum Mystic Spell Power

In light of an insightful build discussed in the last post that leveraged Draconic Incarnation for fire damage on a Monk, I wanted to explore how much spell power can be generated on a level 25 Henshin Mystic.

Did some testing on this stuff today, some of this is probably obvious, but will include either way:

Maximize/empower does not seem to affect damage, Enlarge doesn't seem to affect spell distance, at least not of the fire finisher.

Spell power doesn't seem to affect the basic Ki attack, it does affect the finisher however. Caster level also affects finisher, combat log will even say at what level you are casting. I splashed 1 sorc level for fire savant for the fire power and it has an enhancement that adds +1 to caster level on fire spells, it actually added to the fire finisher.

I tested it out myself at 0 spell power and 124 spell power, fire finisher
    - 0 spellpower - max hit 78 (fits calculations, 1d6 per monk levels, had 13 monk levels)
    - 124 spell power - max hit 188 (fire savant added 1 Caster level so that's an extra 1d6)
    - theoretical at 500 spell power level 20 monk you would be able to hit 720 raw damage, this can be further increased by weakening enemies against fire.

Seems to work with several attacks but not all. Might try out something like this next life on a fully fledged toon, seems interesting.

I did not see it in your blog post: Did you factor in the spellpower increase by the spellcraft skill? It can be boosted by INT, skill tomes, skill augments and skill points so this could be a nice boost to damage as well.

Oh and, very interesting read I really like the idea of getting more out of a monk through extra elemental damage. Kinda forgot to say that in the post above. As it is now it doesn't seem worth it to aim for elemental attack enhancements because stunning fist and quivering palm + good handwraps are more effective, but this opens up new options.

Interesting to note that I began eying that Draconic ED right before you started posting on mystic-focused Henshins. Great minds think alike, I guess

I did mention Spellcraft, as an afterthought. It seems to me equivalent to adding Heal points for healing amp: Expensive, but a consideration.

Not my original idea, so you raced with the original poster. I see good ideas but I'm not that smart to make ones like this.

Right. The fact this this can work armed or unarmed adds a nice flavor.

The challenge I've had in trying it out is that not even a Key of Destiny helps here coming from the Martial tree. I'd have to train a lot of Fatesinger to activate this. Yuck.
