Greetings,
So, maybe you know the deal: late night - half awake - stupefied, and on a whim you decide to do something that you haven't thought through.
Its not really a big deal - but I had this abandoned 10th level toon (Bard/Rogue) sitting on an account gathering dust and I decided to use its free heartwood+20 and LR him into a build I could use.
Goals: I'm Dual Boxing 2 toons through Demon Sands ATM, both Divines (a Pally and a Cleric) and I thought I might as well bring a pocket rogue along for the ride. My favorite specialist is a Tempest Trapper (It can trap, It can range and it can sneak in and haul my pally's stone back to the shrine) pretty much perfect for my needs, So I headed for the Hall of Hero's.
Now I'm stuck at level 2 with a 1 Rogue/ 1 Fighter and I can't take the Ranger levels - doh!!! The Heartwood rules totally slipped my mind even as I was staring at them pushing the button to proceed.
I can only advance as a Rogue, Fighter or Bard...
Anyone have any ideas to save this character? I still have the regular LR Heartwood, so my stats, feats and skills can be reset after I finish this LR.
The range ability could be dropped - I mainly want a trapper, enough DPS to either mop up after the Pally and Cleric are dead or handle itself in scouting situations (TWF preferred) and any other extra utility that can come in handy: Buffs/ Heals/CC
I don't play my toons actively together in combat when I multi-log (DDO is completely un-suited for that due to its lack of /follow and a robust targeting/ target assist system) I pike them at the entrance and run them up from shrine to shrine, one at a time, using whatever toon is best situated for the next phase of the dungeon. So Solo focused builds with survivability is optimal.
Anyway, I would appreciate any help anyone can give me - I love fun and flavor build with good functionality - unfortunately building them is not my strong point - there's a lot to consider - yo!
