    Default Dex build 13Rog/7Mnk/1Drd

CORRECTION: I did my math wrong lol 13Rog/6Mnk/1Drd

So I started a new toon and this is what I came up with so far

Sindrhalla Fochloren, Veteran 7 Human Female

    13 Str
    16 Dex
    14 Con
    14 Int
    13 Wis
    8 Cha

    Feats (* denotes monk free):

    1 Power Attack; Cleave
    3 Dodge
    4 Mobility*
    6 Great Cleave, Combat Expertise*

I was conflicted about Combat Expertise at first because I'm going to be using Power Attack all the time, but decided to stick with it for the improved combat feats down the road.

    Spells:

    Vigor, Shillelagh

    Enhancements:

TA: Staff Control, Stick Fighting, Acro Staff Training 1/2/3, Thief Acrobatics 1, SF 1, QS 1, SS 1

I'm stuck here though because I don't know if Henshin Staff Training stacks with TA Staff Training. If it does, then I'll build that line as well. If not, I'll use any extra points for Human skill-boosting enhancements.

With +4 Dex gloves, tier 3 Shadow toggle, Lightning Stance, and tier 1 TA Dex I'm at 30 Dex. And I have Dex +2 with Human Action Boost.

    Not bad at level 7

The staff training bonuses from both trees stack. Note that you will not get the full benefit of Ram's might with a Dex build.
Are you planning to take this build into epics? Seems like the feat progression was heading towards Overwhelming crit but your STR will be too low.
Rogues really benefit with precision later since it overcomes fortification, enabling crits and, more importantly, sneak attack damage.
There are some threads out there with this class split--I recommend you check them out for their advice. Shillelagh boosts the staff damage along with all the enhancements from rogue and monk; it is a great combo.

You mean wind stance? very good dex score at that level--probably makes a good stealth build, very fun. What staff are you using?

Wind stance, thats it. I always call it lightning cuz of the icon XD

I hadn't planned on going Epic - mostly because I'm f2p. If I do end up gaining the ability for EDs, would I be able to tome myself up to the req for Overwhelming Crit?

I don't mind the +2 Str loss too much. In the end it's only +1 to damage.

I ended up swapping out Combat Expertise for Toughness because I never used it and I needed the extra HP (92 before buffs - ouch). Since I've already got Henshin opened up, I'll probably add the Tortoise one for the extra HP if I have the free AP.

I'm really digging the high Dex so early. Good saves, 42 AC for 68% miss chance. And my toon is able to get traps (with Skill Boost), and eventually going to get Damage Boost as well (makes more sense to use in battle for that +2 Dex rather than the Skill Boost).

Right now I'm just using a +2 Poison Staff of Ribcracking I. Nothing spectacular, but it gets the job done. I need to get my hands on the Stave of the Seer. 2.50[2d6] after Shillelagh is going to be nice ^__^ I was looking at Staff of Nat Gann and Chieftain's Spear - very nice abilities - but sadly they're not wood and Shillelagh won't work. Might still work on getting them for when the needs arise.

The Chieftain's spear is a VERY rare drop; if you do chase after it, look for the Tiefling's blade there as well.

All builds in the first life are fun explorations; you will level quickly and can always TR at the end. With Saekee, I was trying to get some gear from the Cannith challenges and ended up leveling so fast that I TRd from a lot of the xp there.

I am f2p but bought some stuff; I recommend the Menace pack. ALong with all the other goodies you also get a huge xp boost for one of your characters per server. I do not do much in epics yet as I am never satisfied with my builds and gear (so I TR). Good luck to you!

I don't think I'm ever going to TR lol It's rare for me to find a build that I really like, so when I get it to 20 I don't want to lose it on a gamble that the next life *might* be fun. I'd rather just retire it if I'm not going epic.

Since this build is limited to wood staves, would I be better off having one crafted for me?

Being f2p and not owning any of the packs from which the BTA/BTC staves come, my choices are limited.

Arlyn's Staff, Souleater, and Stave of the Seer (bind on equip) are probably the only good choices for my level (just hit 8).

If I can get my hands on a few packs I'd be able to make use of Breeze, Nature's Vengeance, and Staff of the Shadow for levels 12-20.

Once I hit 18 I should probably turn my focus to getting the FR pack so I can get Stout Oak Walking Stick for use at 20.

Other than that, if I can go epic then I can get Epic Souleater or Twilight with the Planar Conflux bonus to get Subterfuge and Prowess.

F2P makes builds a lot tougher to make the way you want lol

Monk 7 gives me +1 BAB and Wholeness of Body. I mostly solo so that's a pretty good thing to have.
Druid 2 gives me +1 BAB, +1 Will/Fort saves, 1 extra spell, and animal form. I'll never use animal form, I can deal without the save bonuses, and the only spell I use is Shillellagh.

Honestly, I'd rather have the Monk level.

No idea if you have spare ap, but check tier 2 druid enhancments, beside bequile/doublestrike boost/vengeful, bestial nature. scroll mastery there are couple other things that are realy nice to have.
When doing multiclass builds, currently you also need to check tree, since most power comes from frontloadnes of good enhancments

Your math might be off. Taking either 7 monk/1 druid or 6 monk/2 druid means you only have 12 levels left over for rogue. That is a huge waste of potential, considering neither level makes or breaks the build.

Rogue 13 gives you, in case you were wondering: 1d6 sneak attack, a bunch of skillpoints, and most importantly, another rogue special ability.

Oh wow you're right. I need to go 13/6/1. I wasn't discounting Rogue 13, I just didn't realize I had too many levels lol

    Thank you!
