I was just going to skim over the Q&A ... until I got to this one - this frankly makes me angry. I don't rant - ever - on this forum, but here comes a rant:

I'm a casual player, though I play most evenings for a couple of hours. VIP, 3 years or so of experience.
My level 28 paladin now has approximately 1,600 Commendations of Valor. That's it. And that's while trying to work the new quests consistently for Ingots (that's another complaint - you've managed to turn THOSE into a new currency, it seems) and Fire Scales.

Yes, MAYBE I could get 4200 Comms if I ONLY played this character 5 hours a day, every day. But it's also important to the game to have a bunch of toons for everyone at ALL levels to encourage group play... not just farming for comms on one character at a time.

As it is, I've pretty much given up on the idea of ever doing Epic TRs on more than this one Pally I'm talking about. I also have lvl 22, 25, 25, 26 toons, but none of them have over 600 Comms either. If I pile all of them together, I might find about 3,000 now. All of that in the several months since they were introduced to the game.

Stop asking your Devs about this and start listening to your PAYING CUSTOMERS. WE DON'T LIKE THIS. I don't care how much y'all have written on the subject, we've written a heckofa lot more.

It's my understanding that first you roll a crit. Then you roll to confirm. Then it gets resisted or not based on Fort.
I will Confirm this, Just tested with Oladren's Great Crossbow (15-20 threat range):

(Combat): You attack Training Dummy. You roll a 16 (+17): you hit!
(Combat): You roll to confirm a critical on Training Dummy. You roll a 5 (+17): Critical hit resisted!

Also so people don't think the 5 (+17) failed to crit for other reasons:
(Combat): You attack Training Dummy. You roll a 3 (+17): you hit!

It probably works this way so things which trigger off Crits/Vorpal strike can trigger even if the target is otherwise immune to crits, things like Burst weapons, Disruption, Heartseeker, Smiting Etc.

P.S. I have Precision running so can bypass 25% fortification.

    Thanks for trying.

At least there is communication, but you need more than a child-size pack of band-aids......the cut on the toe isn't the problem, it's the heart attack, the severed artery and the 4 gunshot wounds to the thorax that need attention.

    Not just that

    - More COVs
    - More XP
    - Better drop rates
    - More favor

It's hard to take people seriously that claim they are getting no more than EN. People run on the hardest difficulty they can handle. When people say there needs to be more EE incentive it means they want 5 people to be motivated to carry them through the quest. People are already running on EE if they can handle it.

Most of the enhancement bugs are on the priority fix list. I can't 'promise' the when.Hopefully 22, or 22 patch, maybe later. But like I said, core game features is the priority for the rest of the year.
Got a short list of what you consider a core vs an ancillary feature?

    For instance:

Where would a review and consistency pass of the various crafting systems fall? (I suspect the wastebin, but hey, had to try )
Heck, where does a review of new loot abilities kicking in at various levels vs hurhurmoarbigurnumburz fall? (sorry. Couldn't make my view on that foulup PC on my best day and still convey the utter despite of the dumbing down effect it's had.)
Where would Racial PREs fall so that when adding a new one, the full set of combinations can be accounted for? (Really does seem y'all are setting yourselves up for more headache long term the more that gets put off.)
Where would EDs fall when accounting for an ED cap of 5, but an upcoming Epic Level cap of +10?

Really, cause I ran on all 3 difficulties and named items only dropped for me on EE. I got significantly more stones and it was a blast. I ran all 3 difficulties in both raids and there is a noticable difference in named item drops when you go to higher difficulties. The ingredient drops are also much higher.

If people can handle EE but choose to farm EN - that is their choice. It would take them much longer to get their gear - why would they do that?

It seems to me the real motivation behind these type of arguments is that you don't want people running EN/EH to get these items even though it takes much longer for them to farm it.

its hard to take someone seriously when the make assumptions like this.

xp is not a worry mainly for players in epics because its too easy to get. leveling isn't the issue, its Comms. for efficient and better Comm drops its better to skip Eberron and go straight to Eveningstar/Wheloon. the drop rates for loot is small compared to EH. some players are lucky at pulls, while others are not. generally you have to run quests many many times to get what you want. favor is a one time thing. you can do that anytime, but players usually worry about that on their final life or plan on staying at cap for a long time.

incentives to run EE need to be a considerable difference in drop rates for loot and matching Comms across the board for the actual time it takes to complete a quest and the amount of effort for players to complete a quest. no tiered loot or no special loot and just an extra 1-3% drop rate chance compared to EH is not incentive enough for people to take the time, use up resources and willing to open an lfm to pugs for the majority of players. its easily evident in game that hard is the default for farming or running most quests in game for what players want.

Nope, sorry to disappoint you there, but its not fixed at all. It did get better after you guys worked on it a bit (there was a time I actually had to retry up to 4-5 times a day to get DDO going after restarting, or not playing for several hours). But sadly I still have to do it at least 2 times each time I want to play. That is both for me on my own account and my son on his account (and on both his, mine and on my wife's PC).

I noticed it does help a tad when I keep trying to interact with the game (pressing I, C or whatever to open up UI things) and it seems to be affected a tad by putting up its priority in the WinTask manager, but that is only enough to keep it to 1x mostly never helps get the game to start right away.

You don't really get more XP and loot though. If you only did each quest once, you would. Chances are, however, that you'll need to do it multiple times to get your loot (regardless of the difficulty) and since it takes a lot longer to do a quest on EE, you'll get more XP in the same amount of time by doing it on a lower difficulty.

I think that's what people are saying and I can see where they're coming from. It isn't really a problem for me, as I usually do only run each quest once and I do it on EE in order to get the True Elite saga reward.
I don't, however, think that you deserve a better item from running on EE. EE really isn't that much more difficult (except for raids perhaps), sure it takes longer to do, but I run almost exclusively in PUGs and there's never been much trouble completing the quests. You often see people basically soloing them ahead of the group.

I wouldn't mind getting a greater reward, but to me the True Elite saga completion is enough incentive to run EE.

Favour is one thing you can typically get running the quests on Heroic Elite as well which removes one incentive to run them on Epic Elite, even if it's only once. One of the reasons I think they should completely separate out Heroic and Epic quests in the Adventure compendium, Others include:
    - Epic Quests being easier to find by level (rather than scattered throughout all the Heroic Levels)
    - Epic Quests able to give a separate (Additional) amount of favour compared to Heroic Quests, even if it's only 1/2/3 favour
    - Epic quests benefitting from first time completion bonuses, even if they've been completed once on Heroic.

As for incentives to Run EE, Turbine's between a rock and a hard place, some players want it to be the hardest it can be, the most difficult thing possible, so only the very elite can complete it, but I believe that removes the incentives for the majority of players to bother and leaves it for the minority. The Dev's can't really have it both ways, either they're built to appeal to a larger player base or they're built to appeal to the triple completionist elite, currently it's the latter.

Missed that one. Yes, still happening. Just last week pointed another guildie at https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...eload-official to sort it on out. (It should tell you something about how frequently that comes up when I've got the url bookmarked at this point for ease of reference.)

Without an SSD the issue is still there, even when I use an SSD (not my preferred gaming machine) it still happens occasionally. The simple issue is that the game does not load enough of the game logic into memory before trying to run and crashes right back out again.

Im not going to write a book on some of this. Varaguille has discussed the comm thing...all the way down to the math. Yes, the biggest xp/m quest is not optimal for comms.
I ran every quest once on epic hard. When I hit level 28, I had a little over 1200 comms. It's not even close. Here's the problem: we know it's your little pet project, but this game is *not* for the developers, it's for the players. Make enough people unhappy, and while a select few might complain in here about the way things are going, the vast majority will just log in less and less.

    The

It's becoming increasingly obvious that you guys don't play. How can you be "under the impression" of something? Forgotten what QA is? How about log in and try it? Some of this stuff is so basic that it's mind-boggling that it gets through.

I had a friend visiting the other day, so I thought "ooh, fresh blood" and started up a session. "Yeah, it's a little dated, but the combat system's great, and if you start on Ghallanda, I'll hook you up with some noob gear... this first login never works, but after that everything should be fine." So, we wait, and wait... *bonk* Times out. Start it again, aaaaand... times out. "Hmm, that's odd. Doesn't usually do that." Try again, and this time we can get to the character creation screen. Show her the various options, roll up a basic fighter since they're easy to make a tough smashy thing to start, get to the face-building screen, aaaand... it hangs. Wait for a couple of minutes, but no, it's stuck.

Took us 25 minutes before we were standing on Korthos. When the very first impression someone has of your game is that it takes two attempts to log in, how likely do you think they are to continue to play, let alone spend any money on it?

Double log-in is NOT fixed. Happens to me every single time if I don't use the Preloader. And even with the preloader I get DC'ed ocassionally.

Also getting DC'ed in game often since the last update, never happened to me before.

Thanks for the updates!! I'm looking forward to seeing the additions to the guild amenities.

As for the "double" log in issue, it is not entirely fixed, at least not for me. I had to long in twice last night..first time I logged in I had the red latency icon and had to shut down DDO and reload it.
