Game is not allowing mic use

Hi everybody

So I have a G430 Gaming Headset that uses a USB adapter, but it's not working in the game.

I've tried troubleshooting this based on my own knowledge and here's what I've done so far:

*Checked recording device settings in volume control window - everything is working fine
*Checked audio levels in Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) - volume is up
*Tested mic in other programs - works just fine
*Checked driver updates - currently up to date
*Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers
*Uninstalled and reinstalled LGS

*Checked that proper device was selected in the game
*Checked that voice chat was enabled
*Checked that the game's volume levels were up
*Yes, I know to press F to chat lol

So unless I missed something, it seems I've taken all necessary action to ensure that my mic should be working. I've never had an issue using USB headsets before, nor have I had this problem with this headset in any other game.

Can anyone suggest a fix? Thanks

Maybe if you have windows 7, check to see if the "properties"/ "advanced" has the allow devices to take control is UNchecked.
Also, I've seen a glitch in the game/options/audio where I had to reselect the proper playback & recording device.

A few people have an issue where the mic needs to be plugged in before DDO is launched so make sure it's plugged in before you launch DDO.

If DDO isn't even detecting your mic you could try switching Voice Playback Device in DDO Audio to something other then what it's currently set at then under Voice Capture see if your mic is now listed. (An issue I had with a few mics)
