Default 9.99 Subscription: VIP Account or Premium Account?

Okay so I bought the 9.99 Subscription since it said that it would give me a month of VIP subscription. It says all over the place that you can do it such as the "Become a VIP" section. It say right under the picture, "Upgrading to VIP gives you an all-access pass to future, present, and past Dungeons & Dragons Online game updates. Become a VIP for as little as $9.99 a month*" now I know there are terms and condition because of the "*" symbol. And I have some questions about 9.99 Subscription like, Am I a VIP member or a premium member? When I logged in it says I am premium and I am unable to use the features that convinced me to become a VIP member. Such as playing as a Warforge and an Artificer. Now if I am a premium member and this isn't a mistake I have two questions. Why doesn't it clearly state the outcome of my purchase because I feel mislead? and How do I actually upgrade to a VIP? I don't know maybe there is something I am missing.

When did you make your purchase?

My first though is that the transaction may not have gone through yet.

My next thought is that are you sure you bough a subscription and not a bundle of turbine points?

My final though would be are you sure you purchased a subscription for DDO and not LoTRO since they share the account management site?

Did you purchase a time code? That you need to enter on the turbine account page?

When I purchased My year sub last month I got a code via email that I had to go to the account page to enter

You are the one choosing not to play alts.

Casual player now investing way less than I used to into the game, playing 1-3 months at a time and still want nothing to do with Reaper. #improvepuggrouping#alldifficultiesmatter

Okay so I accidentally bought the points bundle which explains a lot. I thought the Starter Kit was the time but I was wrong. Now I have a whole new question where do I go to buy this membership? I have been all over and there is only the 15 dollar one.

You'll be mislead a lot by turbine. Heart woods are a great example.

Have to admit, you kind of already have to know whats going on in order to make a confident purchase through the website. Every time I sub it seems I have to rediscover how to do it.
You'd think it would just be blatantly easy. It's not difficult by any means, but I have to TRY to get it done.

Just to clarify what you've typed (highlighted in red above), that's 9.99 per month when you sign up for a 3-month sub, so basically you'll pay 29.97 for that subscription.

Remember that you don't buy 1 month of subscription, but you Subscribe (meaning that they will bill you the sum every month (.3 months depending om package), until you unsubscribe.

I really don't like their subscription system. I would buy codes, and buy months at a time, but they costs way too much, compered so subscription, and there are no good time choices. You can do 60 days for 30$ (29.99), or 12 months for 100$ (99.99). Otherwise you have to cancel subscription (which ain't easy), but you can get 3 months for 30$.

Subscription is auto billing. I think you are thinking its like Game Time Code, which you buy (then it (hopefully)gets sent to your email, then you have to type in good knows where to activate). Which you can get from DDO market (which is entirely different system from DDO store, and VIP subscription).

Also even if you are VIP you have to buy expansions (which come bundled with some premium packs).

I also had problems with billing and ****, but that was mostly on 3rd party payment service side(Boku customer service sucks. They can return your money to paypal, ant that's it., and no one that has paypal would consider using them, as its overpriced as hell, but since that was my only option at the time, blah.)

Overall its chore to give turbine money, and they make it hard to get stuff you want, sometimes forcing you to buy stuff 2 times, or bundling in stuff you already have (and charging for it 2 times, because the bundles/expansions are expensive).

Ok I'll give this a try.
    It's $9.99 a month*

The * is the small print for if you purchase 3 months at a time. Meaning you will pay $9.99 each for Month1, Month2, Month3. That * also denotes that price is only if you do the x3 month subscription, meaning you pay for Month1, Month2, Month3 $9.99 each month first. Meaning you will pay $29.97 to become a VIP for month1, month2, month3 and longer if you keep the subscription going.

My suggestion, next time read the * print to see what the * denotes. It will save you from making smart-arse comments to people attempting to help you, and then you would know for yourself, without having to BEG for answers to questions answered already.
