Default Chat Channels, would you use thems?

If there were ones listed for timezones. Like one for Pacific, Eastern, Mountain, etc? This way you can jump in and find people in your time zone on the server and get groups going instead of wondering how long that LFM for that chain series will be available (do you and the leader have enough time to redo the chain because they are on part 2 and you on 1?)...

I'm not seeing what a timezone channel would be good for. I mean, regardless of timezone, people that are logged in are people that are logged in. Having a timezone specific channel wouldn't magically make people in your timezone suddenly log in...

Good idea, but Ogre has a point.

If the point is to find people for questing maybe something easy and to the point?

    Two new chat channels added;

    Heroic and Epic.

    /joinchannel Heroic
    /joinchannel Epic

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

    Default TT's /help

I usually avoid them, but I joined TT's /help channel and I met some really cool players. Also I got Icy Burst shards for free I needed for a guildie. Of course I get the Icy Burst shards and now the guildie wants Flaming Burst instead :/ However, I think the Icy Burst is better at those levels.

I also thought it was neato that I was able to join a few PUGs to help out and it was nice that peeps reciprocated and helped me with my PUGs.

I do feel bad for the peeps at /help, since I'm usually sleep deprived and dehydrated

The problem with TZ channels is it assumes that people of a certain TZ all end their game time around the same time.

I'm on Pacific Time and play with People in other TZ's up until around 1130PM/Midnight my time which can be 1 am or 2 am their time. I really think TZ has very little to do with how long someone will be on.

Just join Tobril's channel, generally high population.

There are one or one people that troll the channel, but you have to put that person on ignore.

You also have to put the people who just can't stop replying to him on ignore. Especially when they start copy pasting what he said into channel to try to do.. something? I guess. It's super annoying.

    Unhappy

It would be nice of there was some kind of consequence for baiting people into typing something that can be reported, and then banned for.

I am not a big fan of channels, even joining the HELP channel I dont' see anything going on in there, it's so quiet...nobody says anything and the game autologs me into it everytime I log in.

For me my success has been just putting up my own LFMs stating "All Welcome" for nay quest or chain I feel like running ...I usualy run Normal / Hard difficulties, very rarely run anything harder because it's not that new player friendly. Most new players I have met are ok with a Normal / Hard run.

Once I pop upo the LFM I start and accept anyone along the way until I complete, Most times I am half way through the quest before anyone joins, but they suualy stick around for the rest of the chain or if I am doing flagging for a raid, we run all the flagging quests that we havent' done yet.
    Main toon - Galing (Sarlona)
    Heroic Completionist x1 - 11/03/2016. Epic Completionist x1 - 12/04/2016
    Current life #43 (14 Epic, 23 Heroic, 3 Iconic, 3 Racial): Warforge 20 Arti 10 Epic
