Which heart?

i am coming up on the cap of another life, first time since all the various new hearts of wood came around so i'm a little confused which one is required.

This life started as a Purple Dragon Knight. Then I used a lesser heart to reincarnate into a pure sorcerer (still has the nifty PDK body model and enhancements). Got to 20, started on the epics.

So, when I reach 28, which heart will i need to TR and start a new life at level 1?

Iconic.

Whether you use Iconic or Heroic Heart is based on what you are TRing from.

The way I understood it was that you use an iconic to re-incarnate into a lvl 15 iconic and use a Heroic to return to a level one non-iconic?

No. As above, your TR heart type is based on what you are TRing from. If you are Iconic now, you'll need Iconic heart to TR. If you are normal race now, you'll need a normal heart.

What you intend to be after the TR has no bearing on what heart type you need.
