    Default self sufficient completionist barbarian

I loved my barb lives so to celebrate life 25 I'm making another one, but this time more self sufficient. I calculated that in exchange for 11 raged strength I can actually make myself self healing and even be a trapper. the stats below seem to be the best solution.
starting skill pts is 5, 6 is needed, gap can be filled by using second rogue level at level 7 (at which point I get 6 pts per level due to tome kicking in).
Neglecting AC in trade for concealment.

    16/2/2 barb/fig/rog

    stats:
    18/19 str
    8 dex
    14 con
8 wis (completely dump, going to try protection from evil scrolls, if it doesn't work I'll use force of personality for +7 will saves at lvl 12)
12 int (6 skill points from the start to invest in UMD, search, disable each level, thx to tomes I can max jump and balance as well from level 7+)
16 cha (need it for UMD mostly, might need for force of personality or social skills)

since biggest issue is getting the UMD for Heal scrolls I'm starting with that.
    UMD income at level 13:
    base cha 16 = +3 umd
    +6 cha item = +3 umd
    Greater Heroism = +4 umd
head of good fortune = +2 umd
skill levels on level up = +16 umd
    completionist feat = +3 umd
= 31 = no fail cure serious wound scrolls/raise dead, 70% chance on heal scrolls at level 13, 85% chance at lvl 16, can be temp. raised to over 100% in time of need, so i'm happy with that.

heal amp: 25% to 55% depending on my race, 75% better heals from rog/mec enhancement line for 200hp+ from heal scrolls.

passive miss chance: 7% chance, 20% blur, 10% ghostly = 33.04% chance to dodge all incoming attacks. Active miss chance 58.15% chance to dodge all incoming attacks

    Race: Not sure yet
Human: I get the extra feat, Ddoor, 20%/30% healing amp on top of my passive 15% and 10% from guild ship. enough int to have enough skill points and DC to trap/disable all regular traps.
Half orc: full 20 starting strength, but 10 int. +2 str passive, +4str while below 60% hp (not taking the last tier), 20% more hate, +4 to hit and +6 damage, +3 power attack dmg, 20% more damage to helpless enemies
Perhaps the best option would be half orc with 12 int.

    fighter splash:
    stalwart: 4AP
    Kensei: 9
    +1 feat early on
    +1 to trip/stunning blow dc
    +1 action boost
+2 to greataxe attack and +3 damage

    Rogue splash:
    mech: 11AP
    +1 core ability
+3 disable device + 3 more reflex against traps
    +1 search
    +75% healing from scrolls

    Barbarian:
    frenzied berserker: 11AP
    Die hard feat (enhancement)
    +10hp
    +30hp temp. when below 1hp
    +1 balance/jump/swim
    +50% sprint boost
+100hp temp at the cost of 1 constitution

    occult slayer: 10AP
    weapon bond
    +1 to all saves
    +1 DR
Ear Smash - ACTIVE, makes casters unable to cast 6 seconds
    +3 dodge

    Ravager: 23
    2d6 extra damage per second
    mass-Crushing despair on vorpal
60% chance for enemy to lose 10AC
    +3 damage
chance on 150 temp. hp if hit
-2 to all enemy ability stats
    10W damage (bugged?)
20% chance to deal 6d8 damage to enemy

    Half orc: 8
    +2 strength
+4 strength when hp less then 60%
+1 to hit and damage with thf

    Current amount of AP necesary:
    76/76 at rank 95

    Feats
    Power attack
    cleave
    completionist
    Stunning blow
    great cleave
    two handed fighting
    Improved crit
    Power crit
    - not taken yet, reserved for either past life feat or force of personality to add to will.

Useful permanent equipment buffs (l16 gear):
    20% blurry
    10% ghostly
    4% dodge
    Deathblock
Phantasmalkiller on proc both when hit and when rolling a 20
    stone prison guard
    earthgrab guard
    haste guard
relentless fury guard (5% more damage for 30 seconds)armor-piercing (10% less fort on hit enemies)

    Clickies:
Greater Heroism (+4 to all skills and saves)
    50% Displacement
    teleport
    deathward
    protection from evil
    ressurect
    summon xoriat monster

    switchable gear:
    search/disable gear
    pale lavender ioun stone
    feather falling
reflex gear (+10 robe, +2 parrying wrists, +2 good luck, +4 greater heroism, +1 haste = 19 extra reflex when needed)
    diplo, intimidate, bluff
    +5% experience

    Looks like a nice build.

Recently I did a pair of barb lives, both with rogue splashes. I went con based which saved me a lot of stat points which can help with Charisma for your build. It is certainly possible to dismiss rage, do a trap, heal a bit, then rage and continue on.

The problem is that for EE content you generally need some healing while in combat, or you need some extreme defense. I'm not sure I see enough extreme defense in your build. Your damage mitigation is decent, but not sure it would be enough when you have no self healing.

Nah it's for fun, I did forget to mention it's just for heroic quests.
Not that concerned the damage output will be below average on a 'fighter with less feats', I've played 3 of each melee class and kept all the good stuff . Main concern is saves, but at the same time that's the fun of the class, a barbarian shouldn't need saves because that means the caster stayed alive too long.

@arcane, what do you mean con could help with charisma? con instead of str/int or something?
I don't see myself using rage and dismissing it every time I run into a trap or need a heal, also the rage fatique is annoying because it reduces run speed.

basic idea: 37+ str with basic gear/ship buffs level 15 and up, good weapon, sprint boost, trip/stunning blow, cleave, great cleave = majority of quests done in super amazing completion times

Yeah you don't need as much STR, Con is always a requirement. It frees up some stat points during your build. Con to dmg works fine for great axe. I did a two weapon barb with two axe of adaxus and two deathnips, it was pretty op in heroic.

If its just a fun barb build for heroics you'll be good with just about anything.

I'd recommend going human rather than H-Orc.

Any way you slice it, to be more self-healing you have to sacrifice some DPS.

Being a H-Orc you are going to lose out on Cha and Int which seem very important for your build. Also as a THF H-Orc the real beauty is in getting brute force which gives you +20% damage on helpless opponents. But that will require about 15-17 AP in the racial tree. Which you are not doing though you pointed out as a plus to take the H-Orc. And as H-ORC you lose out a lot on heal-amp which you want to be self sufficient.

Human you get the skill boost which is going to help you hit no fail on heal scrolls.
And you get the healing amp and an additional feat. Which I would drop power crit and finish out the THF line with these two for the glancing blows.

reached level 10 today, a little review of how it's going halfway in this life.

Majority of quests have been a piece of cake with protect evil + nightshield and for tough fights or bosses displacement and uncanny dodge available.

DPS is high despite barely using rage, getting top kills in every single quest so far.

First death was at level 8 in an underlvl party in church of the cult elite boss, survived the traps fine but got hit over 100 a few times, died 3x total now (trap in delera 4 and trog held me 3x in row while already below 50% hp, my bad for not taking precautions).

UMD is even better then expected, didn't account for my tomes. I'm now at 35 UMD at level 10 (with GH and pink and green ioun stone), will be 40 UMD at level 12 because I have room for the feat skill: UMD then. right now 75% chance to cast heal and 95% chance to cast raise dead.

Didn't include saves in the build, but I always aim to be able to do the crucible swim, since I have evasion for it still having some trouble getting together 39 reflex though, I can get it to 36 max (not using buffs shorter then 1 min because swim takes a min)

all in all it works fine for now, will review again at level 18 when hp is a lot higher and weapons are suckier in comparison, but still instakills etc.
