Communion of Scribing

A curious question.

I have always assumed that the Bladefored Healing Enhancement Communion of Scribing would not work for a Bladeforged Barbarian while raged. Honestly on all my BF I don't even pick up Rage pots, assuming that they would block CoS.

Last night for the 1st time I bought and used Rage pots on one of my BF and the CoS worked while raged! He is not a Barbarian.

Can anyone actually confirm that the Communion of Scribing would or would not work for self healing on a Bladeforged Barbarian?

I imagine it would be a tad expensive, but it might be worth a +1 LR and an Alignment Change Stone if a Raged Bladeforged could use Communion of Scribing for self healing.

I have no tried a barbarian bladeforged (due to the bother and expense), but the Rage spell (which the pot is) has never interfered with casting spells, as far as I can remember.

I think that is exactly what everyone believes. I have certainly never even considered it. I do believe you are right, but I wonder if anyone has ever built a WF Barbarian and actually tested to see if CoS is usable for self healing while raged. I have visions of Shades old Max DPS 18/2 as a Bladeforged. I would love to hear from someone who has tried it or from a Dev. Everyone else feel free to chime in too.

I've tested it on lammania a few times:

You could use CoS whilst barb raged once upon a time, but it is no longer possible.

You can currently use Cos whilst:
potion / spell raged
Skaldic raged
primal screamed
madstone raged.

barbarian/madstone rage is the only rage that blocks spellcasting.

pots, scream, adrenaline, all allows casting.

If it blocked spellcasting . . . I have to think mass buffing with Rage and Haste would be a bit less popular.
