Mob AoE and doors

Please fix this!
I have no objection to an equivalent level mob having access to AoE spells. My problem is that their spells work thru doors.
Two examples:
1. Swiped Signet: Sleet storm spammed thru door so much I was unable to reach lever to open door and take them out.
2. Cannith Manufactuary. Again, spammed Lightning Sphere so much I was unable to reach lever.

I'm all for balance so if I can drop an AoE then so should an equivalent mob but how come they can drop them thru an iron door and brick wall but I can't?

You can, just use the right AoE spells. ^^
