1. Buy Hot dogs.
2. Buy thick bacon.
3. Buy Hot Dog Buns.
4. Buy Toothpicks.
I am assuming you have a deep fryer. Set fryer to 375 degrees.
5. Wrap 2 thick pieces of bacon around the hot dog. Use the toothpicks to hold the bacon on the hot dogs by piercing the bacon through the hot dog so it sticks out on both sides. I used two slices of bacon and two toothpicks per hot dog.
6. Put your hot dog into the basket then place into the fryer. I only do one hot dog in my fryer as this was the first time I did this.
7. Cook for 3 minutes 30 seconds.
The bacon comes out nice and crisp.
Like my donut burgers in this forum, no condiments needed. The bacon adds a crispiness and the hot dog is juicy so you have a mix of textures.
We ate our hot dogs with and without Kraft American Cheese.
My wife, my son, and I all gave it a thumbs up. We will make this again.
