It's rare, but when required, they simply use the telekinetic eye to float the corrective lens in front of the eye that needs it. Telekinesis becomes particularly useful when mulit-focal lenses are required.

Default Do beholders ever need glasses? If so, how would that work?

You got me stumped on this one.

Maybe one big monocle for the main eye and the rest of the eyballs are on their own?

An engineering task of this magnitude clearly requires magic to work properly. However, when dealing with a beholder, magic can be... tricky. After years of work and many spectacularly failed attempts (one of which involved a pair of magical spectacles wearing a beholder) an anti-anti-magic field was invented, that allows a beholder to wear a set of magical glasses without dispelling them every 3 seconds.

Of course beholders never need glasses! The Lord of Eyes would never allow such imperfections in his masterpieces. You will be getting a visitor shortly to "discuss" your insolence.

Default Do Beholders Ever Need Glasses?

All beholders have a rare* condition that makes glasses ineffective. If they ever need corrective vision, they must wear hard contact lenses.

*Well, rare for everyone else, that is.

If they have any vision problems, they go to a medical beholder for laser eye surgery. Glasses make their beams refract too crazily..

Of COURSE they need glasses! No one is immune to aging....why do you think their anti-magic ray has a limited range? They're NEAR sighted!

But no one realizes this because the beholders don't wear glasses...no ears to hold the glasses up. So, the beholders go around near sighted, and grumpy because of it.

    Default Disintegrate

Depends. Have you ever been hit with a finely tuned Disintegrate ray? If not, the beholder was wearing glasses.

Of course not, they have enough Magic to fix any vision problems.

While they may occasionally need some vision correction glasses would affect the spells too much, so when needed they use some form of lasik.

Yes, they do, but to make glasses for Beholders, you just need a dead Glass Spider, separate the middle section of its body, and tie it around the Beholder's head and there you go, instant Beholder Glasses.

And for their eyestalks, use the same method, but with Baby Glass Spiders
Just a random, forgettable NPC doing things an NPC does
Things that NPCs do include, but are not limited to:

Having a gold goblet over my head to indicate availability of a quest
Having a catchphrase that never really catches on
Having various rewards that are generally not worth the trouble
    Wandering around randomly
Giving out obvious information if it wasn't obvious enough
Repeating the same lines over and over again

First you giant eye-patch the anti-magic eye - just cuz. Then you fashion a chain-mail beholder "hoody-hood-only" that has the correct magnification/location inserts. Third - have a mage enchant the lenses for focusing the bursts similar to a "death star" beam. (Note the enchantments stick because of that "what seemed useless" eyepatch at the start). Fourth, spin the beholder. Wait... what was the question?
