Monocles didn't go out of fashion, Beholders just nicked them all and hold them up with telekinesis.

My Toons:
DWP - Fighter, Olur Takun - Barbarian, Perddy Elfie - Artificer, Tamqil Jemhar - Ranger
While beholders are certainly capable of possessing inferior vision, none have ever used glasses to rectify this.
This is not due to any lack of effectiveness regarding glasses, but rather the fact that beholders with poor vision inevitably kill everyone around them (and eventually themselves) with misfired eye rays before a suitable pair of glasses can be procured.
A beholder would never admit to having eye problems. If their vision degrades to the point where they constantly bump into things, they merely cover it with a quick, "I meant to do that," and suffer no arguments to the contrary.
Beholders need glasses to drink out of. The younger one need someone to hold it up to their lips, while the adults just use telekinesis.
If one monocle makes you classy, then 11 makes you REALLY high society.
Contacts, obviously.
Astreya the Unturning
It's always a shame when the hammer of poor design choices smashes the fun of player tactical adaptation.
Yes they do. They wear tiny monocles on their eye stalks.
When Beholders get old and become ancient beholders; they use glasses to amplify their powers even further. They get maximize and empowered spell points savings and cast Super duper empowered maximized disintegration for one-shot epic kills, anyone?
With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility
A rare few beholders need glasses, or a corrective monocle if they prefer, these are all held in place with a small dose of Sovereign Glue.
Warden of the White Council
Why sure! Of course they need a few glasses now and then.
I mean, even a beholder can work up a thirst doncha know?
Like that rowdy bunch in Delirium for example--now those were some serious drinkers!
I don't know how many glasses they each put away but it was more than a few.
Yep, beholders definitely need glasses, and not half-full ones either...f you value your life!
They have never failed to spot me, even at a distance. I'd say no, they never need glasses, so it doesn't matter how it would work.
My take on "the grind": https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post6220972
Ordinary humans have inhibitions that serve as a buffer against what we know is bad behavior.
However, some people, by blaming others for their own bad behavior, develop a thought pattern that allows them to override self-control in order to achieve a selfish end.
- My opinion on exploiters and cheaters blaming SSG for unfair punishment.
Do not ever give beholders glasses - nearsighted beholders are MUCH easier to deal with.
DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.
If they ever did need to, beholders would wear Kaleidoscopes.
Sure, there are beholders who sport undecakiscles. However, from years of being teased by other beholders, they don't have the self confidence to venture into dungeons and confront adventurers.
ps: mono- : 1. undecakis- : 11
Let's be honest: you don't care who my alts are.
They are all gimp and I'm cool with that.
If they have perfect vision in Xoriat, but less than perfect in Eberron, then what they need is an Oculus Rift.
Altoholic, barrel-smasher, flower-sniffer, 90% solo-er.
Khyber: Sianys (30 Tempest), Heldre (20 Warpriest); Argonessen: Thalys (18 Ranger), Alansa (24 Mechanic); Sarlona: Liilana (30 Knight of the Chalice); Thelanis: Berda (20 Fighter); Ghallanda: Rahelle (12 Wiz/3 Rogue ); Cannith: Dhia Dhuit (18 Druid)
I have no idea if they wear goggles, but it would be AWESOME to see one in DDO!
I can be found on Orien as Cilon
HC7: Typhoon, Dreaded Knight, and Wish. HC6: Naivety. HC5: Who Is Here. HC4: Cylon Centurian. HC3: Soulstone in Your Pack. HC2: Carnage

Reversed lenses for focused beam powers...
The lack of consensus shows decided favor towards the fact that they do NOT indeed ever need use vision corrective devices.
Of course they need! To increase the strength of their rays with a slew of funky effects. Finger of Death through a pair of pink glasses anyone?
Beholders will actually never need to get glasses. If they find an eye is having trouble, they just use the others to give it laser eye surgery!
In fact, the whole purpose of the beholder is to give creatures laser eye surgery. However, you people keep killing them while they try to just do a service for their community.
That's not lag, it's just DDO trying to become turn-based again.
