Default Thunder-Forged Wraps: What Tier2 is best?

I am getting close to making a Tier2 pair of Wraps and want some advice or thoughts about what is the best to slot there. My monk is a character that I leave at 28 for Raiding/farming. TR1, HElf, Pretty decently geared and more than likely staying with the GH BlackScale (better than Shadow for Melee IMO). Two real questions:

    1) Does Tier2 grant a red slot?

    2) Is more Fort bypass woth it? I can already produce crits at a repsectable rate with the blackscale and fire-dark-fire. Right now I am leaning towards the Fire Proc one but would like to know thai I didnt think this all the way through.

Also: Tier 1 is First Degree Burns. Orange Slot is Endless Night Aug.
Characters: Celemia / Tukson / Thau (Broken link) / Atremus

I find it very hard to ignore the 35% fort bypass. It's a bit easier to look at other options if you're planning on keeping blackscale as well as using wraps which have a lower crit profile anyway. It's also metagame dependent. Do you find yourself in quests with a lot of undead or other crit immune mobs? The new shadow dragon raid and haunted halls both feature undead prominently. If you're on trash duty in the fire dragon raid, as I'd suspect a pure monk would be, then undead is also in abundance there. Even if you are on the dragons, due to their fire immunity, the bleeding effect on the fort bypass tier 2 is still a very good choice.

Level 26 wraps might be decent for the tail end of TR's where you fight all sorts of different mobs. The fire proc may have more use there. If you're planning on upgrading to the final tier, level 28 version, keep in mind the sort of quests you run at cap when you're done leveling and take that into consideration.

Valid points about undead and the Red Dragons too.

For the Fire Raid I am in Grandmaster ED firing off EiN to clear the trash and rarely get a chance to work on a dragon. I suppose that I could make 2 sets in time. Might need to. One with the 35% and then the Fire AoE pair.

    Each has its own downside.

Fire immune stuff (fire raid) for the AoE set
    bleed immune (undead raid)

I think I just talked myself into 2x the grind.

I think for this first pair I will go 35% since the bleed damage would apply to more monsters than the fire.

Just wondering about that red slot now. Should know by monday unless someone else can build a pair and post here.

Yes, they get a free red slot functioning like a two-handed weapon.

I decided to make a trash mob wrap for living creatures. Undead/golem/else just have to use different things. So going to do burns/paralyze/fear.

The proc rate for para is 5% so it's not great, but it's another type of cc. Good thing about it if it procs no save.

Had some help with the Ingots last night and now have a Pair of Wraps at Tier2.

First Tier: 1st Degree Burns - Really like this ability. With the Monk attack rate, it's always active on a target
Second Tier: Dragons Edge (guess I'll look into shadow scale now)
Thrid Tier: ?? Only 40 more raids to go... But I think Mortal Fear looks fun
