Default The Happy Cloud is not making me happy

Well with 6 hours down time I thought I would re-install DDO. So I went to the download page to start the download. After The Happy Cloud starts downloading about 50 Mb the downloaded figure drops to 0 and The Happy Cloud just sits there and does nothing. I have already turned off my anti-virus software and also added Happy Cloud to Windows firewall exceptions. Has anyone else been having trouble with The Happy Cloud/

I'm not sure on this, but throwing this out there just as a possible reasoning...

Could the fact that everything just about is down for maintenance have anything to do with the game not downloading. I mean, it doesn't seem like it would effect it, but just maybe...

I could be COMPLETELY and HORRIBLY wrong, but hey... I try.

Yes that makes some sense, but you would think that I could not download any data. The Happy Cloud does start to download gets 50-60 Mb and then shows that 0 Mb has downloaded and just sits there. It would all be much easier if Happy Cloud would just give me some error message. Also I now have turned Windows Firewall totally off and still have the same problem.

    Default Problem Solved

OK, I looked at my Gateway/File Sever machine's reports and found that Clam anti-virus is detecting a virus in the download. I know it is not uncommon for anti-virus software to give a false detection, but you never know when it is a false detection without some research. I added an exception to Clam anti-virus and all is good.

Search for *unable to use path* thread. Neither steam nor other workarounds work for me. So i idle in the forums in hope that there will be some announcement or other solution.

Cr-appy Cloud is worse than pando :/.

Not sure if this will help, but I had the same issue when I installed DDO on my new computer. It would download then reduce down to 0 and nothing would happen.

I finally figured out that if I moved my mouse, it would keep it from dropping down to 0. I tried to figure out what was causing this but had no luck. Eventually I made it through the process but had to sit there for the entire time playing with my mouse.

Well, I don't have problems downloading DDO by steam but steam says, I miss a folder named EULA when it wants to update game programs (which then closes the client) and cr-appy cloud is unable to use a path, my SSD is restricted everytime. Funny thing is, I can install every other game I want, DDO is not possible to be installed by any means.

Well, that was off topic, the OP asked for more trouble with Happy Cloud, that's why I recommended reading the other thread.
