    Default Component bags

Please let us buy a bag to put our spell components in.
Also it would really help if the spells on our hotbar had a number in the corner that counted down the number of times we could cast before running out of components
Finally it would be a big help if the venders that sell components would have them sorted by class and level instead of alphabetically.
Please please please this would make the game so much easier for spell casters. I might actually start taking some other metamagics instead of just escew materials all the time.

    Hi,

It would be nice to have a bag for spell components.

Until that happens, one thing you can do to keep track of how many you have is to set up a hotbar with all the components on it.

If you would like some advice about which metamagic feats are good choices for your particular build, just ask, and you will be sure to get some advice. It may even be good advice.

    Thanks.

We've been asking for this for years, same with potions bags. We've been told the issue lies in the counting down of stacks. I can't remember precisely, though I am sure someone will chime in.

    Main: 18 Artificer, Thelanis

I say, same as every time this comes up: Yes, please!

You can put a stack of your components on your hot bar, and see when you are running low that way.

Note that if you use the "sort by price" checkbox, it more or less sorts them by level (though not class).

The only statement from a Dev on spell component bags was quite a few years ago now. However, it was said that the main issue had to do with how the spell engine and the bag mechanics work in DDO, they were incompatible. If the component was in a bag, the spell engine registered you as not having the component at all, and the spell would fail. They were unable at that time to get the two to play nicely - but would let us know if anything changed since it has always been a popular request. And as I said, it's been at least three or four years since then - and we've heard nothing new.

I've given up on ever seeing it happen, like Familiars or good looking armors.

A better workaround would simply be to make Omnispell Dust available in-game from vendors. Who actually buys it from the Store? :P

Make it available, but just at a noticeably expensive price - that way, it not only gives a way to clear up your inventory, but also provides another gold sink. New players can still use the 'a la carte' components at a reasonable price, and vets who can afford to pay the 'convenience tax' for the inventory slots can load up on Omnispell dust instead.

    Beautiful suggestion.

Maybe have it only available at the highest tier of The Twelve favor. You know, the one that currently doesn't give ANY reward? Precedent for expensive consumable available as favor reward: Yugo pots.

I apreciate your help, sorting things by price and putting compontent on a hot bar are 2 things I hadn't though of but will start doing. I'm still partial to escew materials though because I hate having to keep up with that stuff, I'm really a paladin at heart but I have a sorceror that I enjoy playing from time to time and an artificer who retired to the crafting halll as soon as he was able to get his greater dragon mark of making.

Ooh, do I recall encountering this issue when trying to cast trap the soul back on my wizard life? I remember I would remove the crystals from the ingredients bag...

Anyone feeling ambitious enough to confirm this is the existing issue?
That's not lag, it's just DDO trying to become turn-based again.
Feature wishlist: colour-coded HP bars; red/blue teams in raids; rez-timer in party menu

I would very much like a spell component bag.

However, I would very much like a spell component bag that works correctly and does not introduce new bugs or exploits. Or at least one that introduces amusing bugs and exploits instead of ones that actually hurt my play experience.

I'm okay with not having a spell components bag because of that.

Yes. I wouldn't even use it(all my high level chars are melee) and I want this.
