I don't fully understand what you did from your message... You need to go to myaccount.turbine.com and log on to the account where you wish to unlock MotU content. The log-on credentials will be the same as for the game. I suspect that you do not want to apply it to your 'test' account since that is not your main account, which has your established characters, gear, etc. So log on to your main account. There will be a field for you to enter a product key: that is where you input the code from the email receipt. Once you do that, your account should be updated shortly with MotU content unlocked. You can log on to your main account and play it. Note: the first character to log in on your account generally gets the bonus items from your purchase, so make sure it is the character that wants those items. This can be somewhat circumvented if you have a shared bank.
If, as I suspect from your posting, you actually applied your code to your 'test' account, you are out of luck and will have to call customer service and explain your situation to them.
